I guess we didn't really have much say in the matter. He chose London over Liverpool.
Another team may have upped the ante with a better offer which would've been harder for him to turn down, but we know that's not our style. Unless the player is shyte and no one else wants him, of course.
Might have been a different story for us throughout the season if we'd got him.
