18 La Liga games, 11 goals. Its a great record considering Villa has 13 in 27 games.

Pongelle last month said he isnt interested in coming back
"Today I don't have any desire to go back and sweat blood and tears again in England" but do you think Rafa believes he has a future at the club?

No I don't think so. Because Liverpool FC has been negotiating with Recreativo a collaboration agreement and is going to use Pongolle as part of the deal, as Recreativo hasn't the funds to face the whole fee of Sinama. Plus, the player doesn't want to come back.

And yes, I think he would have been an interesting player to have. The few games in which he was given a chance to play yesteryear, he was an OK striker for the third or four option. But he was given few chances, I remember the game against Luton, against Betis away, and a few more.

I dont think he will be back due to him enjoying Spanish football and his now playing week in week out. As a kid he showed huge potential hence the LFC signing and now his performing to a very good level.

Dont want to see him become a top top player and then wonder why we allowed such a talent to slip away.

No.

He's sh*te.

Well - maybe not sh*te, but definitely too whiny for LFC and Rafa.

Let him stay in Spain or naff off back to France. They like a moan in France.

We don't need Cinnamon Doughnuts back, he is a "good" player that belongs at a middle-bottom team in La Liga. I'm sure everyone agrees we need to sign 2-3 "world clarsh" players like; Eto, Alves, David Villa, etc and not "squad" players like Cinnamon, Gonzalez, Zenden, Sissoko, etc.

Besides we already have this Ukraine bloke who is our "squad" striker for next year.

He better be at Spain. Back here, i don't think he's gonna make it as our main forward. Sell him to recreativo.  Anyway, good luck to him and thanks for everything.

Thats exactly what I was going to say, people cannot come on here moaning about our lacking of a world class striker - banding names like Eto and Villa around and then seriously expect us to be happy with Pongolle coming back.

He's a good footballer. A bit light weight but decent.

Good enough for a Liverpool squad? No!

Nah not too bothered about him coming back tbh, yeah he's a half decent player if were going to challenge for the league we need better bench players than Sinama.

Would Pongelle have done any worse than Kuyt or Bellamy if he played the same amount of games this season?  I dont think he would of.  I would take Pongelle over Bellamy any day.

I dont think hes right for Liverpool

We do need a top striker though... someone like Van nistleroy was for Man u, Drogba for Chelsea... someone with a good first touch (Unlike Kuyt) and someone who can score goals game after game
