This if true will go down well with owen I said it last night and Ill say it again he will be back with us come january or next season. Thats if sven doesnt take the Real job.
JOSE CAMACHO quit Real Madrid after a player revolt sparked by his decision to pick Michael Owen ahead of skipper Raul.
Furious Raul rounded up a posse of his closest pals from Real’s dressing room and told president Florentino Perez they had no confidence in Camacho.
Striker Fernando Morientes, vice-captain Guti and left-back Roberto Carlos all moaned to Perez about Owen being in the team in a secret meeting before Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Espanyol.
Ironically, Camacho never wanted £8million summer signing Owen, or £13.4million buy Jonathan Woodgate, in the first place.
The players claimed Raul had been betrayed by Camacho — despite the fact the striker has not scored at the Bernabeu for NINE months.
Camacho found out about the players going behind his back and had a furious row with Raul and Roberto Carlos on Sunday morning.
Goalkeeping coach Mariano Garcia Remon takes over as caretaker but Sven Goran Eriksson is Real’s top target.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
