Why don't they just punish the totally unprofessional Lee Mason who made decisions based on the crowd's reactions and send the linesman back to the regional leagues where having a good visual perception is not required?

Seriously, what do they expect after such a match? Everyone would get frustrated if they lost a match because of the refs so comments like that are to be expected. This is the first time Rodgers is having a go at the refs too. The FA should admit their mistakes. They can't expect us to "respect" them if their officials are morons!

I find it sickening that this FA had asked BR to explain his ref comments. Why are they not asking stupid Lee Mason and his assistant for ruling Sterling's goal for offside while in fact he was clearly onside costing us a point from the match? Why are they allowing these moronic officials to get away with murder?

what I found sick was the amount of Liverpool fans posting on twitter that Rodgers should be sacked and Raffa should come back after we got beat by man city.

I will never understand other football fans

As for what Rodgers said after the game ...well..its lucky I was not the manager as I would not have held back on what I said about the ref and linesman. for one I would have said I wonder if they should be looked at for match fixing

Don't be so easily fooled.

If it sounds like Manc filth and smells like Manc filth it most surely is Merchandise United bandwagoners, I mean "fans" pretending to be us.

you mean the 0.01% of plastic liverpool fans, who jump from team to team every season?

Most Liverpool fans who are critical of Rodgers don't want him sacked and will give him enough time to prove himself (which he is doing already), don't know what type of ''Liverpool'' fans you are following lakes

Anyone caught his post match interview? It appears he was trying to make a point with bringing in the youngster, as someone mentioned in the match thread. He went on about how the team has proven that they can do well given the right personal but that he has to make-do with whatever he's got now.

It was a stupid decision all the same though. Not that he had much choice, but Alberto would have been far better. The guy deserves a chance too.

Bringing Smith on was clearly a message to the owners about the thin nature of the squad. You could also tell that Rodgers was biting his tongue in the interview after his comments the other day.

I wondered the same thing, but I sure hope that wasn't what he was doing. Yes, we are short, but with Enrique, Flanagan and Kelly all injured and Cissoko on the bench, it is hardly the owners fault that we are short at full back. Plus 7 million Alberto stuck on the bench all day long, I'm not sure he made his point all that strongly.

The performance of the team was evidence enough that we need more depth, they looked out on their feet from the start. I'm starting to worry about Hull now...

Alberto isn't a wide player and I think that's who BR wants to bring in. He also mentioned the lack of depth in his post-match interview a number of times...

Half way through the season, United have been shocking and took time to get going, they're two points behind us and we're fifth, we're only 3 points ahead of 8th. All of a sudden there can be a bit of perspective.

end of the day, we got to go down to basics and improve the defense. look at chelsea's goals, all could have been avoided.
there are a lots of ding dongs in the box. ricochet here, ricochet there.

sometimes old fashioned carra style clearing from the box won't hurt the team.
we have 4 very pro defenders in agger, skertel, toure and sakho so that's not a personnel problem.
and we need a hitman type of player in mid. obi, lampard, luiz and even williams are too strong physically for us.
and johnson keep losing possession! gonna drop johnson for kelly and maybe get so transfer value off him.
end of the day if we must keep the ball well as they cant hunt us without the ball!
