On the kick however the player let his fustration get the better of him. He did kick the boy and not the ball from under him as claimed. The ballboy was a little snotty sh1t but players should never get involved like that. He should serve a long ban I think as it was way out of line. The boy did deserve a kick though but players should show more self control and when they don't they should be punished whether he appologised or not.

Hazard wasn't out of line, the kid was.

Had the kid done his job instead of whaling on the ball like a time wasting id.iot, Hazard wouldn't have needed to try and get the ball back.

have to agree with you, the ball boy should be banned, the FA should instruct all clubs that behaviour like this from ball boys, stewards etc is not acceptable. If Hazzard get a lengthy ban and no sanction for Swansea or the ball boy then you will get more of the little feckers doing things like that

I have no objection to the boy being banned but you cannot kick a kid in front of millions and not get punished. They will throw the book at him. The kid being a little sh1t has nothing to do with it, a professional adult football player should never take the law into his own hands.

He tried to retrieve a football for god's sake, hardly taking the law into his own hands. He clearly attempted to kick the ball from beneath the whaling idiot, it's hardly a calculated assault on a kid that you're trying to dress it up as. The kid also had absolutely no right whatsoever to interfere with a professional football match, he is paid to retrieve balls, not to lay on them!

Hazard should serve his ban - and no more action need to be taken other than that.

the way kenny was shown the door after reaching the 2 domestic cup finals i wouldnt have blamed rodgers if he played the reserves there today. like it or not the biggest game of our season to date is on wednesday and that has to be his priority.
no one wants to go out of the F.A  cup to a lower division side but it happens, it even happened to bill shankly and bob paisley.

i know the team today was short in quality and experience but they still looked lost and barely up for it and thats a problem. they were woeful in the first half and actually worse again at the beginning of the second so what ever was said at half time fell on deaf ears.
he needs to get more from his players in situations like this and demand that they give it because the first 65 minutes of that game wasnt good enough even for a liverpool under 16 side.

Was youth preferred over inexperience in those cup defeats from years ago? Winning on wednesday won't guarantee fourth we won at the Emirates last season as I recall. The rest is history.

i`m still convinced there`s room in our squad for andy carroll.
we play in england , not spain, and the vast majority of teams in this country play direct, physical footy.
most teams tend to base their gameplans around hard graft, being hard to beat and set pieces (hence that astonishing stat that 60% of all the goals scored in this country originate directly or indirectly from dead ball situations).
carroll`s height and aggression came in handy in at both ends of the pitch plus he was better on the floor than a lot of people gave him credit for, he was better at holding the ball up in traffic than even suarez.
you look at borini and sterling today and you cant tell me that carroll wouldnt have given oldham more trouble than those 2 put together, especially in those conditions and on that pitch.
we look good against teams that let us play but as soon as anyone starts getting stuck into us we cant handle it, we crumble.
when it comes to the oldham`s, stoke`s and everton`s etc of this world you`ve got to match fire with fire or they`ll walk all over you.
i`m excited by the coutinho signing but he`s not exactly going to help us in that regard either.
this falling apart when ever someone starts roughing us up is happening far to often now, rodgers has got to address this problem because it`s getting beyond a joke.

I don’t think Carroll is the answer to situations like today.

Why would we play a physical striker against a team that play in a highly physical manner, and are quite good at it? Surely we should try to hurt them in departments where they are inferior like speed and mobility? Play to an oppositions weaknesses rather than their strengths? Wouldn’t Carroll be more useful against more cultured teams with defenders who are less physical?

The 2 left and right backs in Robinson and Wisdom were too young and inexperienced. Enrique and Johnson in my opinion has been our best 2 left and right backs in recent years if not in the whole of all current PL sides. They are hungry for the ball, can ghost past defenders, assist and Johnson can score important goals. I relish to see them playing together again soon.

If we have all our players fit, we have a team that is as good as any of the top sides. Imagine if we have :

Pepe in goal,
Left back Enrique,
Right back Johnson,
Central defenders Skrtel and Agger,
Midfield Gerrard, Lucas, Downing/Sterling, Henderson/Coutinho
Front Suarez Sturridge.

The only problem I see is, it is not possible to have them all fit all the time and the bench players are inferior to them, so there's no plan B. Chelsea, manure, city have bench players who can turn their games around not like us.

We need a midfield enforcer rather than a physical forward imho. We need to ensure that our midfield isn't bullied off the ball. I don't think even lucas can match the level of enforcement that mascherano and alonso had. Alonso maybe known more for his passing prowess but his positioning and standing tackles are very much under rated.
