This is the challenge I have."

Im really starting to love this guy. No politically ambiguous statements, no tv friendly soundbytes just brutal, blunt, refreshing HONESTY.

He's extremely impressive. Straight talking, no waffle, no bullsh1t. In todays era, Rodgers is a rare breed of manager.

Kenny left Rodgers a huge expensive mess to clean up and this will take time. No one was interested in buying Carroll outright for half of what Kenny forked out on him, so a loan is by far the best option at this stage. We have saved around 5million on wages, got 1million fee, and we still own him...so he doez well at WHU (which he should do as they are direct and cater to his limited style) then we will get a decent fee of around 17million next summer.

Rodgers knows this is no short term fix. He's gone about things with the bigger picture in mind.

I don't think we'll get anywhere near £17m for Andy Carroll next season.

Well, not much BR can do about the epic failure of the previous regime.
If noone want to pay we are forced loan them out even if we want to sell.
One of the big problems we have with players we want to get rid of is that they are all on extremly high wages.
That is often why we have a hard time negotiating with other clubs.

Dissapointed that we hire a young manager and are not adequately backing him in the txfer market. I know its gonna take more than one window to fix things but we could at least do more in backing him. The squad is not nearly enough, ith far too many gaps...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

you been asleep like? players moving in and out left right and feking centre! Rodgers is running the transfer window at the moment. Which bit disappoints you? the fact we haven't YET spunked £30 million on someone?

From twitter .
Doors being shut on Liverpool talks by many clubs.

What's going on....better get some news soon or we have sold most of our bench with nothing left apart from kids to put on it.

Claire Rourke's 'live show from 7 on deadline day' looks like its been cancelled so presumably the Dempsey/Sturridge deals are also off.

If this is true Brendan is taking quite a risk only having Adam Morgan as backup for Suarez/Borini until January.

Haha you knob jockey.

I'll put money on us making at least one signing before the window closes, probably Dempsey.

We could play gerrard off a main striker, as back up to suarez/ borini, as its 9.20pm and reports say fulham and lfc have failed to reach a fee agreement and it looks like it wont happen.dempsey that is
