Looked ordinary at best tonight. Didn't look like scoring until we had one disallowed by the worst decison I have seen in a while. Alonso looked good, Garcia had 9 touches for 8 turnovers. 1 striker for the 1st half was ridiculous, if we were going to do that you'd at least play Cisse there. Stevie G looked tired. 4 points from 3 games how do you expect to finish top 3 ??. Lets try Midtable

Josemi, Alonso, Garcia and Gerrard played well, but Liverpool didn't.
We didn't play bad as well. We only conceded one and couldn't score.

Big disconnect between mid-field and front line, no fluency. Liverpool chased the ball for the entire game and created little. Big Sam was well pleased, laughing at us.

Depends on how quickly the team gel,
I think Alonso and Garcia will end up being good signings but we need another defender and will probably need another striker as well to give us options.
I be happy with 4th as this has to be viewed as a rebuilding season

I'm sad that they lost but to think about it more, I'm glad. I think sooner or later, we are going to lose, so why not now so that we can realize we are not playing Champion's manager. It will take time. I was surprise to see Traore there because I missed the first 35 minutes but to me, he played well 2nite.

Campo and his mates were more cohesive and better organised in midfield than us. We were chasing their game all the time and not creating our own. Sad performance, but that is the first time our new combo' has performed in competition. Next time has got to be better.

I thought Baros was selfish today. He had two or three opportunities in the first half to pass to Garcia who was in a good position and failed and lost the ball. That would have set the tone. Second half Garcia saw Baros open and across goal (certain goal) then blazed it wide. It was a bad decision to disallow the goal but lets face it, they did not really play well enough. Second half the team got desperate and had no clue what to do. Even the Spaniards started playing long ball even though Liverpool played five in midfield.

The team will get better as they havn't really trained together. Now we have to wait another two weeks.
