6m euros....p*ss take!!

Benny has been one of our better players this season (not hard I know) and there is no way Rafa will sell him.

In my Opinion he is worth at least 10 million.

The only way i would justify a low price sale of him is if Rafa was trying to raise quick funds to snatch Arda Turan from any other interested clubs while he is available.

I think we should keep Benny, he offers some real quality on the ball and he has shown many times he has an eye for goal, which is more than can be said about most of our squad this season.

Benayoun is too inconsistent.  Riera is the same.  Neither are good or consistent enough to be first team players in a top four team.  Kuyt, Lucas, Voronin, Dossena also fall into that category.

All squad players at best.  We still need three or four quality players.

Liverpool have reported to turn down the 5M offer from Olympiacos, and Olympiacos are ready to come back with an offer for Riera.
Benayoun has days where he is inconsistent, but those are a minority. Would never forget that 4-4 draw against Arsenal, he had such an amazing performance.

what the feck, power rangers everywhere
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Beni provide something we don't have right now. He can draw and dribble pass a few defender and create openings for others. He is definitely a very useful player. If we sell him, we will be doomed for sure as there is no one able to do what he can. Beni can change a game quickly especially coming off the bench. He is a keeper. At 5million, he was a bargain.

If we wanna get rid of Benayoun.....the replacement player has to be someone better (or at the very least someone of similar quality).

I am sick of seeing $hitty replacement players.

One major example...its no use of getting rid of players suck as warnock and risse and replacing them with dossena or insua.

Same with hyppia and kragon.

If we are not gonna get anyone who can dribble with the ball....take on players and chips in with his fair share of goals like benayoun......then just leave him here.

He is our best option to cover Gerrard, Kuyt and LM, although he is about our best choice at LM at the moment. I wouldn't sell him, our squad is weak enough as it is and he's a more than useful squad player at worst. We don't have lots of goalscorers in midfield, neither Lucas nor Mascherano score (m)any and our defenders don't contribute much either. That leaves a lot of pressure on Torres, Gerrard, Benayoun and Kuyt plus any players coming on like Babel and N'Gog.

In fact that's about our six scoring options, 33 of our 37 league goals have come from those six with one of the other four an own goal, while Kuyt, Gerrard and Benayoun (five each) with Torres (12) have scored 27 of the 37 goals (73%). Last season that quartet scored 50 of our 77 league goals (65%) with Keane, Babel and Alonso contributing 12 (16%) of the other 27 goals. Can we really afford to lose one of our few regular scorers? He scored eight in the Premiership last season and five already this, we would be mad to dump someone who could make double figures - same goes for Kuyt who gets a lot of unjustified criticism.

But for Kuyt we'd probably have lost to lower league opposition in the FA Cup same as the mancs, adding to our record of departing cups at the first or second hurdle (first in the Champions league, second in the League Cup) And he also saved us in the Champions League last season, scoring the winner when it was 0-0 against Standard Liege. Benayoun tends to score less critical goals, a hat-trick this season in a 4-0 win, two hat-tricks in cup competitions we won or would have comfortably (Besiktas & Havant) That's not to say he doesn't chip in crucial goals, but that he boasts his tally with goals when we're well on top - nine goals in three games last season and this that we'd have won anyway, or would have made little difference to our season anyway.
