The only thing about Henry is that he has failed in the last 2 internationl tornerments and also to dominant a Champions League campaign, except when he was top scorer with Monaco.

its seem no matter how well a player under perfoms who  plays for a big club e.g real madrid they get picked and no matter how well a player perfoms from a small club e.g broussia dortmund like rosicky there not in the list it just damn typical

I would nominate
Henry
Ronaldinho
Nedved
Kaka
Shevchenko
Gerrard
Aimar

I think it is fair to have Baros on the list because he was the top goalscorer in eu 2004, a great achievement. Don't think he should win though.

That list is a bit of a joke, no way should Raul, Owen, Figo, Kahn etc be on it

i still think Zidane is the best in the world by a mile. just didnt really show his talent last year.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

Nedved for me, wish he played for LFC. Shrek will pull a few votes !

Unbelievable.

Its between Nedved and Henry surely?

While its still too early, we must remember that:

2) Who votes for "The Player Of the Year"?

National Team coaches. And Euro 2004 had plenty of them.

So, it looks  they might have a chance  Lampard, Baros, Rooney, Christiano  Ronaldo has a slight advantage in the voting polls some of them may not of set the world alight like the others but they perfomned well not all of them perfomned throught a season but some made up for it in the european championship.

Gerrard in my opinion deserved to be nominated, I wouldn't be surprised if he won. Owen,Giggs,Rooney are a damn joke. What has Giggs done ? Nothing.
