I do not expect it, if Eto´o do not play, but I think that he is a person, who only generates badly environment in the wardrobe. I´m feel shame for a player as him. He is lucky to have born with the gift to play very good to football. He is lucky to have the opportunity to gain a lot of money doing what he likes. I do not like the football players, who forget his past, his beginning, his roots.... He has many sobervia. He is not deserved the luck that has. It´s my opinion...

Other new, now I´m listening the radio, and he´s says that Capello goes out the football.

Several reds and ex reds are being interviewed by the spanish media as you can expect.

I cannot translate them directy as those bits are only on paper (Marca) and they don't seem to be available online. You'll have to rely on my memory.

Reina was asked wether this match is going to be special, like a revenge. "A revenge? why?" answered back Reina. And the journo said "because you didn't make it to be the regular keeper of Barcelona and now you want to show you were good enough".

"On the contrary" -answered Reina "I haven't nothing but gratitude to Barcelona because I learnt a lot there and now I'm able to play in a club like Liverpool F.C." Absolutelly class.

Morientes has done an article for marca. He says that when we have the ball Alonso and Gerrard make our wings lethal, and when we face a deep defence, we use crouch to try to find the second play. He warns and insists about Crouch, "he's tricky, it's a crafty danger LIverpool FC has". He remembers so much times in which another team mate scored thanks to Crouch's work, and second plays after he touches the ball

Alonso seems bloody confident. He praises Barcelona, but "he knows where he's going to play and what's the plan" I don't know if you noticed mates, but Barcelona is one of the teams with widest field in meters (or yards). I haven't exactly the measures but it's a metre and a half or 2 metres wider than most primera and European pitches. Barcelona is a team that allows quite much the oposition midfielders (Xabi, Iniesta and Ronaldinho aren't masters of pressure). I sense he's going to have a massive game. It's a game for Alonso! :)

Paco Herrera current sport manager of Espanyols, says in the other hand that "with Rafa Benitez" everything is possible, because he has that winning mentality. He speaks big time about the Anfield Crowd and our players, he praised specifically both Reina, Alonso, and Luis Garcia.

This is a bit random but theres a campaign on at the moment to try and get Bob Paisley knighted. If anyone is interested in supporting this campaign there is a petition on the Downing Street website, just copy and paste the link below to get to it. Pass the message on to all your friends, if ferguson can get a knighthood for one european cup, surely Paisley can get one for three european cups.

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has been dropped from the matchday squad for the crucial Champions League clash against Liverpool.

Eto'o was rested from last weekend's 2-1 Primera Division defeat to Valencia after complaining that his knee was feeling sore and - after his spat with boss Frank Rijkaard and team-mate Ronaldinho - the decision to leave him out of such a crucial tie will leave a question mark hanging over his future at the Camp Nou.

Rijkaard had earlier suggested that Eto'o would be fit to play some part in the match: "Samuel Eto'o has decided to be ready for the game and we will see.

"Psychologically he is very well and I will be talking to him again later."

The Cameroon international had been out for most of the season with a knee injury but after returning to training he was recalled to the first team for the match against Osasuna three weeks ago.

However, he allegedly refused to come on for the last five minutes of the 2-0 win over Racing Santander, citing a lack of warm-up time for the decision.

The player was criticised by Ronaldinho and the incident was mentioned by Rijkaard, leading Eto'o to launch a verbal assault on those who questioned his commitment to the cause.

But the disagreement was hastily and publicly patched up and the player was expected to return for the Wednesday night match.

However it seems that Eto'o was either rushed back from injury too soon or is being punished for his indiscretions as Eidur Gudjohnsen is expected to start in his place.

The truth to the whole matter is that Eto'o was brought back earlier than expected and he isn't yet fit. He was expected to be out for 5 months, and was back atleast a month early.

After playing just 5mins (and hardly touching the ball) i can't believe some people thought he'd start this game. Just the papers making a story that simply isn't there.

In the other hand, if Rijkaard has called him for this game it's because he's match fit and he'll be there for more than warming the bench.

I'd be surprised if he didn't have more than 30 minutes tomorrow, especially if the score is tight.

Am racking my brain trying to guess how Rafa will play it tomorrow. Particularly who will play up front? and where will the Captain play? I imagine Kuyt is a shoe-in for one of the striking spots because of his immense workrate and he is also clearly a Rafa favourite. I'm assuming Rafa will play 2 strikers simply because he has done so all season but i've no idea whether it will be Crouch or Bellamy? The team isn't blessed with pace so Bellamy looks a good bet to keep them honest at the back plus we know they will play a high line all game and we will (no doubt) be looking to play on the counter. But then there are a lot of noises coming out of Barca that give you the impression that Crouch is the one they fear the most plus they don't have the greatest record at defending set-pieces (about as good as our record for attacking set-plays!) I'm still not sure who i would prefer to see in the team but maybe Bellamy just shades it for me. As for Stevie, i'd put money on him playing out on the right tomorrow night. Sissoko's work-rate and ability to cover so much ground is crucial on such a large pitch so he must play in the middle which means Stevie must play out wide, the only way i can see him retaining a central spot is if Rafa goes 3 at the back or with just one up top. Stevie is the best man to keep Ronaldinho in check plus there will be opportunities for him to run at their left-back who will get little defensive cover from the Brazilian.

As for the rumours about Arbeloa starting tomorrow, that would be folly for my mind as is the idea of playing Finnan in a midfield role. Stick with Finnan at RB. I also see a few calls for Gonzo to play on the left. Don't expect to see him in the side and hope it doesn't happen. Expect Barca to have at least 60% possession in this game so when we win the ball back we need to keep it so this is clearly not a game for Gonzalez who has (so far) been wasteful in possession. I'll be happy to see Riise wide left and Aurelio at full-back or the other way around.

Cannot trust the Catalan press, I read there that Etoo would be on the list despite he wouldn't start the game only to discover a couple of hours later that he wasn't in the list.

ScottBot, I'd bet some quids that in our starting eleven will be both Kuyt and Crouch, not because of the fracas, but because of tactical decission.

BRING THEM ONNNNNNNNNNNNNN
