Same here...

I feel we will drop points when we face Spurs and Chelsea.

I know it is 1 point but tbh i think we will finish 2nd. Better accept it now rather than live on hope.

I agree with that, we are a couple of quality players short of being title winners, but I hope the boys prove me wrong.

What can I say.

I’m gutted like the rest of you after the Neverton game.

If there is one thing I understand, it’s that Klopp won’t change his conservative game until the end of the season (no matter who we face). It makes us almost impossible to beat but on the flip side when teams want to play ultra defensive we have the impetus of a wet fart with the likes of Henderson, Milner, Lalana, Sturridge, Origi, etc still at our club. I think we can only afford one of them next season.

City are going to be nigh on impossible to overtake from here on in, the bs penalty/handball 1-0 wins will reign supreme. Our only hope is that we find something we haven’t found in the last 29 years and keep winning our remaining games, putting pressure on them to the very end.

I still think there are a few more twists to come.

It’s all over the inter webs that Guardiola has signed a four year contract with Juventus.

If there is any truth in this, I can’t see how this can’t be a good thing for us. It’s just the thing we need to capitalize with City’s season thrown into complete disarrray. Let’s just bloody win this thing.

Fingers crossed.

8 games to play, 24 points up for grabs, just 1 point behind.

Can we handle the huge pressure, and lift that league title!??

Bring it on, course we can do it!!!

Cmon you mighty reds!! :buttrock

It would have been nice if we were a few points ahead. Nevermind still few twists ahead of us.

Don’t know about you lot but my nerves are shot !! With 8 games left stuff undoubtably will happen. City have been incredibly lucky in their last 3 games and they will drop points at some stage. The problem is so we will more than likely not win 8 out of 8. Who can hold their nerve ? Just look at the way Spurs have capitulated over the past few weeks. Talk of their manager leaving hasn’t helped. For all Guardiola’s denials that he is leaving in the summer let’s hope the same happens to City. Just how much does he know about City’s problems with FFP rules and how that could affect them in the future ?

Unfortunately it's apparently untrue

From The Telegraph
"Pep Guardiola open to staying at Manchester City for next four years as he dismisses Juventus link
Pep Guardiola has told friends he is open to staying at Manchester City for the next four years.

Guardiola’s current deal runs until June 2021 and the City manager spoke publicly after the victory over Watford about the prospect of staying for a year beyond that as he dismissed suggestions of a verbal agreement to join Juventus.

But it is understood Guardiola has floated the possibility in private of committing to two more years beyond the end of his existing deal, which would tie him to the Premier League champions until 2023 and extend his tenure at the club to seven years."

It's been a long road, and he is trying to build this goal machine squad at City over the past few seasons. I can't see him uprooting and just leaving to go to Juventus.
But if he did, let's hope their next manager is David Moyes. :D

The only reason I can see him jumping ship all of a sudden is because he knows something the general public doesn’t.

Wouldn’t be in the realms of fantasy that they (City) face massive penalties and sanctions at the end of the season as the four different footballing bodies conclude their investigations into their corrupt cheating practices.

Where there is smoke.........

We can only hope.

Back where we belong, top of the table.   :buttrock

With seven games left, I think it's now down to whoever blinks first.  Hopefully it'll be City

We need to keep the deficit to just a point, to keep the pressure on City.

If they open up a 3/4 point lead at this stage, then it's game over.

Seven games left boys, let's try to win all of them.

LFC:

Friday Apr 27, 2019 Liverpool - Huddersfield Town
Saturday May 4, 2019 Newcastle United - Liverpool
Sunday May 12, 2019 Liverpool - Wolverhampton Wanderers

Citeh
Saturday Mar 30, 2019 Fulham - Manchester City
Sunday Apr 7, 2019       Manchester City - Brighton & Hove Albion FC  FA Cup
Tuesday Apr 10, 2019     Tottenham Hotspur - Manchester City CL
Sunday Apr 14, 2019 Crystal Palace - Manchester City
WednesdayApr 18, 2019 Manchester City - Tottenham Hotspur CL
Saturday Apr 20, 2019 Manchester City - Tottenham Hotspur
WednesdayApr 25, 2019 Manchester United - Manchester City
Sunday Apr 28, 2019 Burnley FC - Manchester City
Saturday May 4, 2019 1 Manchester City - Leicester City
Sunday May 12, 2019     Brighton & Hove Albion FC - Manchester City
Monday Jul 1, 2019 Manchester City - Cardiff City

One of the keys is that Citeh have 7 games in 21 days between 7th-21st April, with 4-5 of them being 'big games'  LFC have 5 in the same period, only 3 of which are big. Of course if we beat Porto then pressure builds on both us and Citech.

All to play for, the better team will win!   :buttrock
