Personally I believe that he will be an excellent manager (given time and some funds). Of course, I could be wrong and time will tell. However, at this stage in his reign he is still at a stage of assessing our squad, and forced to pick some lesser players because of the injury situation. I hope he can “achieve” the best position we can hope for in the league i.e. 4th. But even if he doesn’t it is probably still too early to judge his abilities.

In our present plight, this is plain stupidity. He is still a fine player who, for whatever reason has not been on top form of late. He remains far better than many other players. I have some concerns, (see next point),  but it would be daft for a number of reasons to change captains at this stage of the season.
