I just can't do it. Of the 18 holes 16 of them went to the right or the left into either the water or the ditch. It's the most frustrating game ever.    :veryangry

hope you kept on playing DD.
we have some of the best courses in the world here playable all year round.
its really frustrating but can be so satisfying when you play well.
perseverance is the key :buttrock

Why is golf so watchable? It seems like the most boring sport you could possibly watch, but you turn it on and all the sudden you realize you've been watching it for an hour. :D

the first major of the year kicks off officially tomorrow and it has all the hallmarks of being a classic.
tiger is the clear favourite @5-1 with rory second @6-1 so not much to be made there but wouldnt that make for an exciting final pairing on sunday.
other than those 2 there is some fantastic prices to be had on some others like,
mickelson 11-1,donald 14-1,westwood 20-1,bradley 30-1,mahan 30-1,scott 33-1 and bubba watson @45-1 is definately worth a tenner.
there is some serious money to be made as the bookies seem to think its a 2 horse race.

Hate the Masters.

It is full of the posh exclusiveness that gives golf a bad name.

A tournament where you are only invited via exclusive lists shouldn't be a major.

A major should be a tournament every single golfer both pro and amateur should have the chance to play in.

They are so full of themselves.

Also the majors should be played on courses that the public can play on. Augusta you can't.

it is an exclusive course and real posh ill give you that.
there is only a field of 100 in this so its limited in that aspect.the top 50 ranked golfers automatically qualify and along with previous winners, highest ranked amateurs and some invitations makes that 100.
the last major is the pga players one and thats open to any golf pro or amateur through various rankings and competitions or it is possible to go the happy gilmore route providing you have a low handicap and are good enough to qualify.
most real decent quality courses arent public and are either private or member owned and pretty much all do green fees.id say augusta is similar and have open days where you can play.it all comes down to how much you would be willing to pay.personally i would pay up to $300 dollars for a game there if i could.

this course is a beast and it brings out the best in a golfer to win it, and your always guaranteed a thrilling finish.
its one of the biggest accolades for a pro golfer to win and they all want to do just that and thats what brings out the best in them and makes for a great tournament.
