No unlike football in golf you need a brain and it doesn't matter as much about your fitness hence the reason they can play a lot older in age.

I am fitter than Watson - hence it is no more a sport than darts, pool, snooker, poker etc

Sport implies physical fitness.

Yeah sport requires fitness, golfs not a sport!
Absolutely no skill required,no dedication or ours of practice needed either! :D

That was a great acheivement by Watson yesterday even to finish second, unbelievable, he done great even making the cut, its tirering for a man of his age, to go 4 days solid in a compertition of that level, ok i know he plays in the seniors but so does everyone over 50, , the open tournaments are a different kettle of fish compared to the Seniors, The man is a golfing legand an rightyly so he is recognised as one,
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

Sport implies physical fitness.

1.Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
2.A particular form of this activity.
3. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.
4. An active pastime; recreation.

Definitions of sport - Think you will find golf fits in there pretty well

:O

Even at 59 i think you will find Watson is very fit for his age and plenty of other golfers are as well - i would even suggest that players like Woods are one of the fittest sportmen around .

Golf requires supreme fitness , skill, stamina, determination , a bit of luck , a lot of thinking and cleverness - pretty much like all sports

Both level through 1

but red ® decides to do a spot of gardening up the second and hit a 6 over par 11, its Gerrard (G) with a five shot advantage after 2. Should've been more but G 3 putted.

Ouch R misses a par putt to take a shot off G but misses it, both bogey 3.
