He was better in the second half. Didn't look too comfortable against Chadli in the first.

Many comments on Cissokho today but none on Glen?

He was miserably s**t today, did absolutely nothing and gifted the ball away more than any other player.  :no

He is on big money for a full back, been here a while and not getting any younger.

Don't think he justifies the £100k+ wage with his contribution that often flatters to deceive. Just look at the boy
Coleman from Everton earning likely half that maximum, so Johnson has to be twice what he is, and isn't even on
a par frankly.

Unless he drastically drops his wage demands I can see him moving on in the summer.

he doesn't look 100% to me, I recon he's carrying an injury.

Are you on the wind up? He's been like this since day one! He's abysmal!

He's never been world class, but think it's a tad unfair to say he's been truly awful. However, as some have said, it's unlikely he'll get a big pay for his next contract and might be off.

I've generally refrained from criticizing Johnson. And it won't be fair to criticize him based on the previous match as I was well asleep by kick-off. But in a nutshell, I would think that the reason why I've not said a bad thing about him is because he comes up with an odd goal or assist every now and then. But even that is lacking this season. Maybe it's age, maybe it's the lack of competition, but a top notch full-back is required in the near future.

We've only got Enrique, Flanagan, Johnson, Kelly and Cissokho. The French one can leave and never come back. I would be very surprised if he's signed seeing that he's 3rd choice left-back and I'm sure even Robinson is better than him. Kelly just isn't good enough. I'm sure we wouldn't wanna buy players from Newcastle but one guy who could improve us immensely is Debuchy. Always liked him. I've never seen Montoya whom we are linked to very often but based on the fact that BR wants a passing game and that Montoya is from the La Masia Academy, he could be a good purchase.

That said, there are other pressing areas of the team that needs improvement, which is central midfield and attack hence getting a replacement for Glen Johnson isn't the top priority.

I've been a bit of a one-eyed fan of Johnson for a long time, but as Maypax says he isn't getting the assists and goals we expect from him. I'm prepared to give him time, he is a good fit for this Liverpool team and one of our best player's good mates. And we do have bigger fish to fry, especially in midfield, but both flanks are going to need looking at over the summer at this rate...

Last year he did not play that well. We were playing Chelsea and he was having his usual inconsistant game and the fans were singing "Chelsea reject" after he made some mistakes. He then seem to get it together and played the rest of the match well. He then went on a good run (not without his moments mind you) and played well until he got injured. In that six match run he looked worth the money but that is about it. Frustrating to watch him and I thought he was awful yesterday!

He does however contribute to providing width and helps the midfield. Definitely helps Sterling play the way he plays now. He's been quite poor at everything else though.

he's always blown hot and cold for me, granted there has been far too many cold ones of late but he could turn that around at chelsea.  :nod
it doesn't look like his contract is being sorted anytime soon so its likely he will leave in the summer.

Hes not as bad as many make him out to be. He offers width higher up the pitch and helps with the shape and balance of the side. On the ball, he could and should be doing much better. Doesnt put in enough dangerous (or any for that matter) crosses for someone who gets on the ball as high up the pitch as he does (see Sagna this season) and his preference for cutting inside at times makes it easier to defend against us.

That said, I have no problems with the right side with him and sterling combining atm and I think highlighting him as a weakness is us being too picky.

I think in terms of tactical play he's fairly good.

The main issue, people with sense have ace, is his general play. Its took a lot of people, alot of time to realise just how poor he actually is on the ball and how often he gives it away.

I agree now, more so than in the past with what you're saying. But we could do better. Over the last five games we've played some great stuff, the weak links have been Lucas, Skrtel and Johnson and for me, they should be the three we should replace in the summer at present.

Allen and Henderson are doing more than enough at present to merrit more chances, Coutinho and Suarez we know are fantastic, Sterling is playing well even if he's not scoring the goals he should be scoring (at least he's getting the chances) and Sahko's looked pretty impressive the last few games.

I agree... Will be interesting to see how he does against a tricky customer in Hazard.
