Sorry mate, couldn't help but chuckle. That's exactly why people see them as hire/fire merchants.  :D

I hear what you're saying, but Roy was a dead man walking, so i discount him.  The reasons for Kenny's sacking stretches far beyond what's happened on the pitch.

I more or less said that Kenny would be gone right after the FA Cup. I didn't want him to leave, but stated i'd not be suprised (actually I said i'd not be suprised, or particulary gutted; turns out I really am gutted afterall) if that was that. I fully understand why FSG have fired him, but I as a fan wanted Kenny to stay, as did many. We've fallen well short this season, but what I think is a major factor is that this season had to be THE season to at least make an impact in the league. Let's be honest...we all but whimpered our way back rather than say "Hey, look out, we're back in business!". Granted we had some great results against great sides and our performances really weren't all that far away from being a force again, and I think had results been the only issue then Kenny would still have his job. What concerned me most was the way glaring problems on the field were ignored, or sometimes even praised. That was Kenny's biggest flaw and probably why some recently accused him of arrogance. His public praising of what everyone else saw as a failure, or seeing progress where others saw none would have been considered fine managment had the performances improved but they didn't, and so many negative records were broken, and so many good results were followed by poor ones.

This year was a chance. Many teams underperformed, like Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham. During the seaon I said "We aren't losing the race for 4th, we're giving it away". And I stand by that. It was there for the taking and i'm sure this was taken into account. Remember how many games we lost to lower opposition only to see that Chelsea had lost too? Or Chelsk would play before us and lose, and we could never push on and take advantage.

But roll on next season. I for one will mourn Kenny's depature, but I will also do what he will do and look forwards with hope to a new campaign. Things look grim now, but soon it's time to walk on, together as Liverpool FC  :)

Overwhelmed by support of the fans. Always been special but even more so now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. YNWA and I never have.

It is rumoured that Kenny has told the owners to put his 8 mill compensation money towards buying a player.

I heard that as well mate but there is no way the figure was as high as that - Dalglish was not on £4m a year.

They doubled his compensation because he didn't want to go.

whatever the figure is it`s a magnificent gesture by a magnificent man.
someone who stood up for this club when everyone else was kicking it.

I doubt that very much but Im not at all surprised if he really did tell them to keep whatever the final figure was. The man lives and breathed the club.

Id have cleaned them out  :D
