The next decision they make on who they appoint must be massive for there own sake on the relationship with the fans,

it was the right decision though after a terrible season, they really had no choice. It was a really brave call from them and I totally agree that the next manager has to make an immediate impact.

It was the wrong decision , 2 finals in his first season , they should of give him more time , What do they do they bring Kenny in to steady the ship , and bring the fans back together then after one season the get rid , do me a favour , and im not meaning the next manager has to make an immediate impact , they have to get it right it cant be another Roy situation were noone wanted him before he came and it got worse as it went on , it has to be right for the players to want to stay and play under them , it has to be right for us the fans , we cant be getting rid of managers every f,ucking season like Chelsea an Newcastle , they need to get this appointment spot on , otherwise them internet terrorists could very well start to raise there heads again ,

So do you think Newcastle should have kept Chris Hughton or Glenn Roeder? They seem to have done well out of changing manager to Pardew, as do Chelsea for that matter. Change isn't always scary Nanny, sometimes it can be good, and I guarantee that next season will be much much better than this one has been because we will have a better quality manager.

If we've swapped Kenny for some mediocre, mid table, bullsh!t whopper of a manager I'm gonna go spare

I reckon your really amusing when you 'go spare'

Dalglish is Liverpool through and through, too often football clubs are sold out to  an owner(s)who do not give a toss about the club,or understand the culture they only understand  $$$$ or ££££ ,  Like Bates at leeds, or the Glazers at Scumchester /Villa/ Blackburn  etc. it is time to reclaim our game . Love liverpool and Liverpool FC , I feel so disgusted by  what has happened to Kenny I have registerd on this forum . yes I am not a Liverpool fan but a fan of football ,  a team in England can only win 3 tropies and 1 european , the Mighty Reds have won the carling cup , been in the FA Cup Final , and yes the premiership title would have been better , but in your first full season not bad?   get real Americans,  from a Leeds fan who loves Liverpool and it's people

Yes Heimdall

No not at all, 4th place next season would take a shed load of spending this summer which FSG don't have any more after last summer's disastrous spending, but I'd like to see us 5th or 6th and really challenging for 4th.

Hi Boxscarf, I apologise unreserveadly mate. I think it may have been D_C who said "excellent" about Fenway's ruthless decision making today. I have spent the last 10 mins trying to find it in this ever lengthening thread  but please accept my sincere apologies.................

I accept your apology, it's not a big deal, I am just a little fed up of being constantly attacked, if it's not Red Beer Goggles, it's Roger Red Hat that's having a pop at me for something or another. I know I have been one of Kenny's biggest critics last season, but I have taken absolutely no pleasure in seeing that man sacked as our manager. Despite my criticisms of Dalglish last season, I fully respect the man as a person, as a manager and as a great custodian for Liverpool football club. He epitomises everything that is special and unique about this football club and he didn't deserve to be sacked. However despite this, I can understand from a business point of view why FSG have chosen to wield the axe at Kenny, even if I feel the decision is premature.

Look!  you openly criticized the manager ,so you must realise when you insult Dalglish you have to be ready for the onslaught of abuse that will follow
Personally ,I just don't ever envisage  liking you ,but hey you're thick skinned enough for that right ?

I'd like Rafa back because he's the best manager we've had since Fagan. Give him a decent transfer budget and he'll do wonders, plus he's just in time to see the academy produce the results he set in motion.

hats off to you sir. I'm from Leeds but a Liverpool fan since '77 and I am truly gutted by todays actions. I understand the need to move on but it still hurts.

Paul Dalglish ‏@pauldalglish
I look up to my Dad as a hero but 32 major trophies count 4 nothing if you have 1 inconsistent league campaign. Still proud to call him Dad!

Criticising a managers managerial decisions i.e. playing Jordan Henderson on the right wing when he is a central midfielder is not insulting Dalglish, I have never uttered an insulting thing about Dalglish and I was quite happy to see him continue as our manager next season. If you dislike my views then you can behave like an adult and debate them or if they really grate on you, then you have a choice to ignore my posts. In case it may have escaped your attention, I do not post solely for you. This a Liverpool forum where people can sign up to discuss Liverpool football club, that's what I'm here for. And why would I care if you like me? I am not here to be liked or win the award for the most popular member. I am here to discuss the club I support with my fellow supporters regardless of a difference of opinion. If you keep abusing me, I'll have no choice but to start reporting you or better still I'll simply just ask for the ignore function to be activated, so I do not have to read your immature insults and petulant comments that add nothing to the forum.
