Not exactly filling me with confidence

Here is the soccernet article, which is all just conjecture (and written by Harry Harris). No actual news in there. I'm waiting for the report from Lakes (or one of his gnomes, whoever makes it out alive):

Reds silent on Dalglish rumours
Harry Harris, Football Correspondent
May 15, 2012

Liverpool have declined to comment on the future of manager Kenny Dalglish on Tuesday, amid rumours the Scot could be set to part company with the club.

Dalglish's future has been the subject of conjecture following a disappointing Premier League, with Liverpool finishing eighth after a series of poor results at Anfield.

They did, though, lift the Carling Cup trophy, courtesy of a penalty shoot-out win over Cardiff, while they reached the FA Cup final, only to be beaten 2-1 by Chelsea.

Dalglish, accompanied by assistant Steve Clarke, travelled to Boston this week for talks with the club's owner, and speculation has subsequently intensified over whether he will be remaining as Liverpool manager.

ESPN sought to obtain clarity amid the rumours over Dalglish's future, but no comment was given - although an official statement is anticipated within the next 24 hours.

The Scot has come in for criticism after spending over £100 million on new players but failing to oversee a convincing challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
"Life is not just about money. There are other things, important things that have a different kind of value. Anyone from Liverpool could tell you that."

Based on the history of how Henry operates the Red Sox, KK is as good as gone. If we let KK get even half a season more, it just means another poor season. No point of changing the manager in the middle of the season. If KK is still in charge, obviously no management would trust KK with the spending. So, he will refuse to play the new players and kept on playing the flops regardless of the result. On the other hand if he is in charge of the players acquisition, chances are the money will go down the drain. Therefore, the only choice is to install a new manager and then get the players that suit his tactics. Otherwise we will be stuck with a bunch of players not good for the new system. FSG will not jeopardize another season with blind faith just because he is Kenny. Let's put it this way, if we have the same players but put a Morinhno in charge, don't you all think the season would be as bad? This just shows a manager can make a difference. Changing a manager for the sake of changing will not achieve anything. I would agree to the change if FSG can get a world class top notch manager.

Mourinho would only come if he had 200M to spend and wages of 13M+ a year.
He might have a bit of temporary success then leave.

He's also a disgraceful human being.

Bad bad move from Kenny, I really am starting to think he might be quite an arrogant man, you don't push your bosses after you've fecked something up and considering his objective was to get 4th place it was a feck up, cup runs or no cup runs.

Arrogance?
Wanting to know where you stand and if youve still got a job?

Arrogant for being imaptient and forcing the issue, it's not smart to push your employers, never was never will be. If you don't believe me try it out for yourself.

bbc now saying dalglish is back home and the meeting was yesterday, it was a end of season review.
considering it`s been 24 hours since the meeting i think it`s business as usual, imo if fsg were going to sack him they would have told him yesterday to his face.

Well maybe they retained Steve Clarke but sacked Kenny, would be a bit weird but would also make sense becuase it would create some continuity for the new manager instead of a complete fresh start.
