Well maybe they retained Steve Clarke but sacked Kenny, would be a bit weird but would also make sense becuase it would create some continuity for the new manager instead of a complete fresh start.

Stop talking - please just stop talking - both Kenny and Clarke were at the baseball game with the owners - the meeting took place in the office at the stadium

looks like it was just a routine end of season review and people put 2+2 together and came up with 5.

Is correct - the party hats will have to go away for now

I think it's far less certain now that he will be in charge next season it's 50/50 and could go either way. The longer it goes on I would have thought it's more likely he'll have to stand down. There's already rumours flying around that he's resigned. I won't be surprised if he does get another vote of confidence but it looks far less likely than it did a few weeks ago.

So you're not celebrating he hasn't resigned or been sacked yet then?

The longer what goes on ?

The rumours are exactly that - rumours, and far too many people suck them in its pathetic

Rumours that Kenny has resigned are still circulating in the US. Only rumours though, nothing concrete.

Kenny Dalglish and Steve Clarke have successful meeting with FSG and are given go ahead to look for players to sign over the summer....All rumours of resignation or sacking dismissed without comment.

It just shows the state of our fan base these days doesn't it, when you read heimdall's post. Not just him.

Here's an example of what I mean:

Rafa consistently gets us into the CL, buys us world class gems for what was relatively peanuts when you value these players today and look at what clubs they end up at (Madrid, Barca? Yes?). We then start to challenge for the title coming so close we could taste it, all under the rule of parasites that almost - and I do mean literally almost - finished this club. We were so close to being a Leeds or a Rangers, and yet some are totally clueless about this. What do people like Heimdall do? Yes. Call for him to be sacked. So they get their wish. They want Kenny (or someone out of our bounds) to step in and expect instant results. So in steps Roy Hodgson. be careful what you wish for and all that. That goat puts us back about another  year on top of the five that the two d*ckheads from across the pond already have with their shambles, and all in a short six months with his dealings in the transfer market and his head-banging cluelessness (God help England in the Euro's). Yes, I do firmly believe Hodgson and the parasites really did f*ck us up that bad. So in steps Kenny. Admittedly things haven't gone as smooth as what we'd expect, but I think there are far too many factors at play explaining why that is to jump to any real solid conclusion. What is conclusive, however, is that you don't jing a manager who's tasked with a rebuilding job after near administration after one full proper season in charge. Roy Hodgson was the exception, because he was obviously out of his depth and was never qualified to take us to where we want, and that was winning things. Kenny has already won us something, and so nearly had two trophies in the bag, which wouldn't be so bad for a first term under any conditions for any manager at any club. Yet, here we are. Fans calling for him to be f*cked off because he didn't win us the title in his first year. You didn't back Benitez, got your just deserts when Owl Bollox was called in, and now you want Kenny to get the chop too? Well you can f*ck off! Either back him or do one. We're not Chelsea, and we don't do things that way, but by f*ck, some of ours sound like the plastics at times.

No such statement has been made by the club on its website. The club haven't commented either way on the rumours nor have they made any comment on the meeting in Boston.

I'm not saying he's going I think he will stay but the club haven't confirmed this yet.
