I don't want to be disrespectful towards Kenny, but just has to put this question out. Kenny, IMHO is not a long term solution for the owners. Yes they gave him a 3 year contract, but I doubt he will be the manager for the full duration of the contract. Now, there seem to be quite alot of managers with pedigree available right now. Will any of you advocate any of these managers replacing Kenny as a long term solution for us?

For me, I dont think the problem is with Kenny. I think the problem is more to do with this league. I look at Mancini and his response to City being in the title race, his response is, its over. And it is. There is no way in hell the FA will let City win the league. Alex Ferguson has too much of an influence. Everton got a fantastic result against them, but United were 7 points clear. Does anyone else here think United could mess up ?? For me yes they will, but the refs will help them get number 20.

Just as I think the FA are responsible for Suarez getting banned for 8 games, and the fact that Liverpool have had nothing go their way all season. No penalties, no fouls, and yet we are the ultimate bad guys.

The problem isnt Kenny, the problem is money and influence. And we have neither.

Wrong thread mate, this is the chuckle brothers appreciation thread.

But since you ask, I'd take Pep and Rafa as long term solutions. Capello isn't a long term solution. AVB... really not sure. But not next year. Kenny should be given another year. If results are still dross, perhaps there is a case for replacing him over Christmas, but whoever is our manager will need to be afforded time, unless it is clear that they aren't up to the job. Roy, for example, wasn't - the quality of the football was awful, at least under Dalglish we've been good to watch, albeit unnecessarily frustrating.

I'm with you with most things mate however I can't buy into that conspiracy theory. If the FA wanted man Utd to win the league they would not of left it this close. I think City will both beat Man Utd at the weekend and win the league on goal difference.

No doubt whoever comes in to a new job is under pressure, Kenny has been fortunate because he in comparison has less pressure. Don't get me wrong for me we have made clear progress. Looking back at where we were with H&G and Hodgson, it is a world apart. Kenny needs to make a couple of quality signing this summer if he stands any chance of progressing us further. With that said I think the management will already be scouting for a new manager, especially when there are the likes of Guardiola and Mourinho potentially available. With the right package and the challenge of restoring former glory they might come.

I hope Kenny stays and reclaims that glory through his methods I truly do, but I have a feeling he has been appointed to stabilise and the tenure was only ever temporary.

guardiola has done it all with a fantastic team with the cream of the worlds talent so it remains a doubt whether he can replicate that from scratch in another country without possibly the best academy feeding him new talent all the time.im doubtful about him and we dont stand a chance of getting him.
capello is a good manager with success at numerous clubs in different countrys.bit of a pr!ck though and he wants to manage in london either spuds or chavs.
rafa is a legend here but i cant see him returning.he'd snap henrys arm off though but i doubt john will extend it.
avb is clearly a man who needs time to adapt and build his team.his task wasnt easy at chelsea but most importantly for me he allowed himself to be walked on by the players and owner and that is something capello or benitez would never accept.i dont think in the short term he would do any better than kenny.

removing kenny now could set us back further than you think,results arent great atm but morale seems to be good and the players imo believe and want to play for him.
im surprised you failed to include maureen in that list as he will probably leave madrid also in the summer.

Its not disrespectful, its downright distasteful to openly discuss options for future managers ,whilst the current one is trying to add another
cup to our trophy cabinet .

The problem with folk like you is, if a new manager were appointed and had a tough start it'd be guaranteed you'd be looking/talking about his next replacement within three months of him being appointed here.
