Kenny Departs

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby carmonkeycasino » Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:38 pm

Liverpool has been without support for years. Most of the ‘fans’ are absolute snobs who think we have some divine right to be in the Champions League and fighting for the title. We are not title contenders. We are not a top 4 team. We are not even a top 6 team (this season). It’s a bitter pill to swallow but we just have to accept it and hope this club doesn’t slip any further.

This decline can’t be put down to one man but a multitude of factors which have been going on for years, that span from awful transfers to bad politics. The ‘fans’ are calling for Kenny’s head. The fans are booing the players off the pitch at Anfield (Wigan). At the same time the Liverpool ‘fans’ should be booed out of the stands for being downright awful fans.

The atmosphere at Anfield is terrible. Awful. It’s not just like the library — it is the f*cking library. The only time the ‘fans’ come out is when we’re in the Champions League, the league matches are chronic and we (the fans) aren’t doing our job.

We place young players like Carroll (23) and Henderson (21) under immense pressure. No wonder these guys can’t perform, ‘the Anfield Faithful’ shout that these guys are “not Liverpool players”… what the f*ck does that mean. We’re a top 10 team not the team of the 70’s and 80’s. Swansea, Norwich and Wigan come to Anfield with the intention of turning us over. They don’t arrive in fear to this relic of a stadium. Everything Collymore said during the TalkSport debate was true. But he forgot to criticise us — the fans, we’re a part of this club too and we can’t even do our job (support the team).

We call ourselves the “best fans in the world”, that statement is laughable. I’m not saying we should accept mediocrity or bottle up our opinions but lets try not to be so fickle. This team needs us.

I’m going to Anfield on Saturday and I’m hoping everybody heard Kenny’s rallying cry so we can intimidate the f*ck out of not just Villa but anybody that comes to Anfield. Let’s make this a fortress again, Kenny is building something and we need to be patient. Nobody comes along and says “I’m going to build the greatest house you’ve ever seen in one day”, you have to plan, work hard and be patient, you lay down that first brick and after a period of time that brick becomes a wall and that wall becomes house — something you can be proud of. This season, Kenny is laying down that first brick.

Look at Chelsea, they are slipping and slipping and slipping, no manager can ever live up to Mourinho. New managers can never create something — Chelsea are a victim of their own success and they refuse to let go of the past because it was so sweet. We need to learn from that because at the moment when we are on the inside we can’t see whats wrong with us.

Look at the bigger picture lads. Keep the faith and be patient.

I don't know, I'm not really shouting for his head but I wouldn't be outraged if he left.

I guess it 50/50 for me.

I think Kenny will make the decision himself at the end of the season.

:no  That is just YOUR opinion pal. You do not control other people, their views and you do not control the whole world! People are entitled to their own views, and are you saying the Kop faithful for booing, are in the wrong?
I think each club's fans' have their own expectations, of where they need to be, and we are no different. Our fans expect better, than losing woefully to two teams in the relagation zone.

poor post really. :suspect:

We say we are different and our behaviour through the decades has proven this. Its only with the likes of you that the standards have slipped and we are becoming like other suppotrers.

I am sooooooooo sick of all the rubbish being banded about at the moment!  Dalglish has got a few things wrong this season! he has, but!  what were peoples expectations this season? city have now spent well over £800m since they came in! (buying the club, wages etc) and don't tell me that roberto has not made vast amounts of mistakes! he has an outside chance of winning the title but Utd should win it at their ground which will kill their fans which will leave him potless!!  My expectations for this season was to win a trophy, get closer to the top 4 and build a platform for the long path infront of dalglish!  ok, the league form hasn't been great but look at the league! there are alot of teams in the relegation zone beating the top 3-4!  we have hit the post or the bar23 times this season! 10-15 of them go in at vital times and bingo! we have 20 more points (roughly) and were 3rd!  the suarez situation wasn't great, gerrard has been out a long time, lucas too, carra is struggling (a player who has/and always given everything for the cause!) and the new signings appart from suarez and qnrique have struggled but they are 21 to 23yrs old!!!  adam will be a great squad player when the puzzle is solved but just have patients and buy into the liverpool way i remember!  souness, evans, Houllier, benitez were all given time!  the guys a legend! he's earned the chance!!!!

I'm clueless? Who is acting like a pr'ck ? how?
I think the honest hardworking  working class people who pay £900 quid for a season ticket, or £42 or so per home game to sit in the Kop which they can barely afford, deserve better, and is really getting on their nerves, after backing a manager for so long. The deserve more, and are entitled to Boo if they want to.
If you feel that strongly, you should stand outside the Kop every home game wearing a T-Shirt saying "You Kopites are destroying our club! You ignorant childish w@nkers " See what reaction you get.

We know who the real reds fans are now don't we. :no

I haven't seen you post a decent post yet Thommo. its all silly tosh aimed at insulting others, with no reality of your own to bring forth. If you don't want people to think you are a fool, you should not open your mouth and remove all doubt!   :D

You are a tit
Anyone who condones, promotes or encourages such embarassing and disrespectful behaviour isnt a football fan
Booing is cringey and ignorant and only a pure co'ckmuncher would defend it. If you were next to me in the match (why would you be?) and you started booing you would be asked to stop and if you persisted you would get a slap.
Fu'ck off over the park and boo with your bitter cu'nt mates
Please

Woooooooooooooooo!! Sticks and Stones..............

So now I know you don't sit in the Kop with the other Booers then!

You Bitter Bluenose! Or a Manc, on here for a wind up....Which is it !??    "(why would you be?)" indicates you definately don't sit on the stands of Anfield very often. Anfield road, centenery lower/ upper tier, main stand or paddock, or indeed the Kop.

I knew it all along, you Deffo Aint a red. Because I don't know any LFC fans, Esp from Liverpool who are happy to be mediocre :no  :no
You are criticising some of the most loyal trusted supporters in the game, the Kopites, most from Liverpool. Which I have never done. them Booing, is always a last resort, they always back the manager, until it becomes a crisis. Some have been stood on that Kop for 20/30 or even 40 years! and you call them W@nkers and the need a Slap!!!! Shame on you Thommo!!!. :eyebrow

You are just digging a bigger grave for yourself here Thommo............... :wwww

KENNY DALGLISH believes Liverpool FC supporters can play a key role in helping to restore his side’s belief at Anfield tomorrow.

The boss admits a dismal run of six defeats in seven league games has taken its toll on confidence levels in the squad ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.

But Dalglish is hoping the backing of a capacity home crowd will help inspire the Reds to a morale-boosting victory.

“It’s really important to be supportive of each other,” he said. “There’s not one faction of the football club that’s more important than the other – we can all help each other.

“We can help the punters by putting on a good performance and getting a good result.

“They can help us by giving us good support and encouragement that helps the players. I’m sure we’ll get fantastic support on Saturday and that’s when we really need them. When you think of the quality of the players we have got, and you say they maybe lack a bit of confidence or belief, you say that can’t be right because they are great players.

“But confidence and belief is a huge thing.

“It doesn’t matter how good you are, that’s still a large proportion of where your performance comes from.

“If they are confident and they have the belief, it’s going to be helpful. And if they feel other people have the belief in them that’s going to help as well.

“It seems strange when you talk about players of really high quality having taken a wee confidence knock but that’s a fact of life.”

The Reds will be up against a depleted Villa still coming to terms with skipper Stiliyan Petrov being diagnosed with acute leukaemia. Alex McLeish’s side boast just one win in eight games and are only five points above the relegation zone.

“They have been unfortunate with the news about Stiliyan Petrov, and that puts football into a bit of perspective,” Dalglish said. “Villa were a much changed side against Chelsea last week but if they were a wee bit upset about Stiliyan they didn’t show it in the game.

“We know it’s going to be difficult. They will come here with a lot of determination and grit. We need the help and support of each other – on the pitch and off it.”

Meanwhile, Dirk Kuyt’s agent, Rob Jansen, says the Liverpool FC forward would consider a move to Italy this summer.

Kuyt has said he intends to weigh up his options at the end of the season after losing his role as a regular starter for the Reds.

“Roma could be an option for Dirk,” Jansen said.

“They are a prestigious club that is fighting for important objectives. I can say that Roma is part of the list of clubs that Kuyt would take seriously into account
