Once Hodgson was installed as manager of LFC, I gave him the benefit-of-the-doubt and I have no qualms admitting as much. His tenure nose dived dramatically but unlike Dalglish, Hodgson never defended his players or supporters and on top of that the football he had the team playing was diabolically negative. So, it became clear to me that the soundbites in the media and the football he had us playing was not going to take us forward. I don't believe this to be the case with Dalglish. Secondly, I also have no qualms in admitting that I thought Rafa's time was up, events conspired against him but IMO he became Houllier-esque towards the end of his reign as manager here. Under different circumstances, who knows but I can't speculate about something that might have been, rather construct opinions on 'what were'.

If that makes me a "fuckwit", then so be it I have no qualms about this either because after all football is about opinions and everyone has got one, even though some are 'more and constantly negative' than other's.

Out of curiosity do you really think we are a better team now than under rafa, even rafa's last season?

the scary thing is more people want Rafa back, memories are bad. Just because its bad now, dont mean it wasnt with him.

I dont wanna use the ex-gf theory again

Rafa would be an upgrade.. but i wouldnt want him back (too cautious/bizarre substitutions.. and poor manmanagement that alienated our most important player Alonso he wouldnt have learned from)

Guus Hiddink, Jose Mourinho.. im aiming highy why not.

I know, it's farce, isn't it.

As far as SHOULD Kenny go in the Summer, my heart says no and give him another shot.  :bowdown

However, I think he will go.

One solution for one cause! support dalglish!  he will get it right!  i remember dalglish playing when i was a kid and he was comming towards the end then! but he was still as good as it gets!  he was a manager aswell as a player and he did ok, 3 titles in 5 years (dam you arsenal lol) would have been 4 if the ball was not allowed to move during the free kick! he took blackburn to the title and signed a whole host of british tallent! shearer, sutton etc etc!  he knows this club inside out! what other manager is going to come in and win us the title in two years??? no one! dalglish is an icon, he has made mistakes but fergie has never ever got it right in a CL final and he is classed as the best of the best!  two lucky wins and two hammerings in 25 years sounds like a good return!  dalglish knows how to win the big games! he will get it right and he has earned more time!  cheer the team when they are playing bad! lift the players, lift dalglish! help the cause! thats what we are famed for at anfield! lets cut out the groans and the booing! save it for when you get home! boo the dog! give dalglish the best chance to get the team working because we want that to happen and im sure kenny is making himself ill for that to happen!!!!!!  Kenny your a legend and YNWA!!!!!

Rafa got in Fergies face and FA's face by eleveting Liverpool to the top of europe and making the club a force in England. Fergie was scared of Liverpoolfor the first time in 20 years and he and the press and the owners took Rafa down and ended Liverpool's new era before it really begun. With Rafa and decent backing we would have been champions three times. We steamrolled every opponent but lacked a striker to finish games off when Torres was injured. Also we lacked the squad to be successful implementing rotation ( rotation is good for morale and for keepng the squad fit and competetive and injury free, but this annoyed the fans and media together with zonal marking on dead balls - and now Kenny is tired after playing , QPR and Wigan - but Benitez was not allowed to be tired aften playing Barca and Milan in midweek)

Rafa was scared of Fergie more like it, that's why he folded like a sheet when the mind games started.....FACT

I think United ran scared in 08-09 but I don't know whether we would have won the title three times during Rafa's reign had we signed a decent striker earlier on.

lets get one right, Rafa was a great CL manager, he built a team to win the CL, Yet the only time he did that was with a team he did not build. anything Rafa did in the prem was only a side show for him, it was all about the CL, END OF.

I'd take that "side show" any day compared to the shower we are being served now....
How far do we have to sink before Kenny's diplomatic immunity is revoked?

well i give him another year for sure, we cant just be like the russians and sack every manager before they get a chance to build a team, Kenny was rushed into buying two strikers and it has not been a great result.
Rafa spent time and a lot of money looking at a top striker and still got it wrong.

Fernando Morientes
he stuck with he even when it was clear the guy was a joke and a waste of money.

How can you even compare? :no

Morientes cost 6.25 million!
Every damn supporter thought we had made a bargain!
And he was sold 1 and a half season later sp you are wrong on that point also usual.
Carol cost 35 million!
Every damn supporter was shaking their head in disbelief at the transfer.
Now it has gone 1 and a half season and do you think he will be sold? :suspect:

All the errors Rafa made were a microsome of what Kenny has done in every aspect!
