Pepe hasnt been at his best of late. He doesnt seem to command his box as he used to.
I wonder why?

this has been his worst season at the club but then again thats going to happen when you`ve been at a club 6 or 7 years, even the maradona`s and cruyff`s went through tough spells in their careers.
off the top of my head though i can think of quite a few mistakes he`s made this campaign, he spilled a shot in the 4-0 loss away at spurs that adebayor tapped in, the one against norwich at home where he came out to the penalty spot to try an intercept a cross but holt got there before him and scored (once a keeper decides to go he`s got to get something on the ball), the mistake at fulham where he dropped the ball at dempseys feet (that was a proper clanger that one), the first goal away at city when aguero`s tame shot from distance went under him (i think i would have saved that one myself),imo he didnt cover himself in glory with the two goals at home to arsenal either, the first goal was a header inside the 6 yard box, that has got to be the keepers ball and the second goal went past him on his near post, then there was the carry on at sunderland where the ball hit the post, hit his head, hit the post again and pepe ended up looking around in a comical fashion trying to find the ball while bendner tapped it in.
even recently against stoke in the cup when crouch scored, he got caught in no mans land behind a stoke player.
he`s still one of the best keepers in the world but him having his worst season since he`s been here just adds to the missed pens and hitting the woodwork etc general frustration of the season.

he noticeably doesn't come for crosses as much as he used to but that's not his fault. it's purely down to the defence dropping so deep all the time. he hasn't got the room to come and collect half the time. van persie's first goal at anfield being a prime example.

all in all he's just another one who's in a general malaise this season.

this is the worst season he`s had at the club by far, putting his meltdown to one side newcastles first goal was another header scored inside our 6 yard box.
as good as he is i`ve never known a keeper to be so glue`d to his line. if a cross is really fired in with pace keepers can be caught flatfooted but that cross today was floated, it was practically a lob.

I think he's lost the desire to play football at Liverpool. I reckon a move to top club that's challenging for trophies is just what he needs. He's certainly good enough to replace Valdes as Barca's #1. He's certainly good enough to play for a teams like AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

fully expect him to leave at the end of the season. His heart doesn't look like it's in it anymore, and who can blame him

madness today really. you can't do that, even though perch's reaction was a disgrace and of course sod all will be done to punish him.

3 game ban now after 183 consecutive appearances. i've not seen anything of doni to know how good he is as a replacement.

One of my absolute favourite players but he was a very silly boy today.  That display of petulance surely means we'll have the utterly untested Doni in net for the FA Cup semi.  The wheels are coming off big time now.  :no

very bad sign

To see one of the coolest players on the team lose control like that shows the desperate low ebb we are at.

Thought we looked a little more secure when enrique put the gloves on, reina doesnt give a toss, he hasnt even dirtied his top this season, that last minute winner by RVP the other week was actually pretty suspicious.

as i said, i think he's had it with us and wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in the summer...

Providing we get a good enough price for him then I couldn't care less, just bring in another keeper. If Pepe doesn't want to play for us anymore, that's fine by me, I can understand his frustrations etc, so it's better he does leave as I only want players here who want to be here.
