The most frustrating thing about him is he has got obvious talent.
Hes just such a blatant sh'ithouse who wont use it

you would think that playing a narrow midfield as we are currently doing would give him licence to bomb forward, but hes not being allowed to. I have no problems at all with RH wanting his fullbacks to actually defend because for me modern FBs dont do enough of it any more but with big Glen going forward is the one thing hes very good at and, similar to the way we box Pepe Reina in rather then let him play the sweeper keeper role he excels at I think we are hampering his game.

not just johnson. the way we set up we hampers any player with any attacking instincts. in a way i'm actually glad that the likes of benayoun and aquilani aren't here anymore. they'd be completely wasted under this regime anyway.

We are not only hampering Johnson but Torres too, like Michael says, the whole team pretty much. Asking a team that is built to press to sit back is like asking a central midfielder to play out wide.

I like the idea someone suggested of playing Glen on the wings, Kelly seems to be slotting in well at RB anyway and we know Johnson is great coming forward. Win win situation for everyone. Still the issue of the manager of course but all in good time...

"The fact that Carragher excels in Hodgson's tactics..."(Garstonette)  That was my favourite bit.  Comedy gold.  I've never been his biggest fan but this isn't his annus mirabilis, by any stretch.  Glen to stay RB, Kelly will hopefully turn into an adequate replacement for JC.

Did well today, very well, however he didnt have to defend, we all know he should be our right winger.

Johnson looked much more like his old self yesterday. Ok we were only playing West Ham who look certainties for the drop but there was something in Johnson's gait and demeanour which appeared different. It might just be that Roy's words have had the desired effect. Well played son keep it up we need that game in game out!

Johnson did not have to defend yesterday ,because wet ham had nothing . Marvelous going forward ,i've got no problem with him whatsoever. He is a defender though and at that he is a liability , we will see against spurs.
