We need a new striker to be back-up to Suarez and Sturridge. Unless we promote someone in the reserves or re-call someone from loan. Adorjan? Ngoo? Teixeira? Borini? Yesil? Can any of them be relied on?

Liverpool and Man Utd are to battle it out for Moussa Dembele, the 17 yr old striker.

We're also linked to Cabaye and it looks like a 7m deal for the Greek striker has been agreed.

actually we need an experienced striker with a proven record albeit older... to come in and do a job when Suarez and Sturridge is not playing...

No big deal. He was just there to visit Sakho. He's only joined Rubin Kazan earlier this year. Anyway, I rather we go for Dembele from Spurs or Cabaye if we're looking for a midfielder.

He was very highly rated but also described as a nutcase, and is said to have an attitude problem. It's gonna be very stereotypical of me to say this, but if he's that good, surely he would be at a better club than Rubin Kazan? Even a mid-table team in England like Swansea or WBA would be a better option as he would get more exposure. I also believe it's Cabaye that's keeping him out of the French national team. Anyway, he's primarily a defensive midfielder.

M'Vila signed a four-year contract with Rubin worth £3.75m a year after tax.

PSG, Everton and a number of clubs were after him he decided to follow the money.

He apparently has a £16-17 million release clause in his contract, wouldn't be surprised if he moved on if signing on fee or wages were fat enough.

A big no no for me, Arsenal decided against signing him before and he has a bit of an attitude problem.

Reds scouted the Penarol teenager at last summer's U17s World Cup - along with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan
Liverpool are trailing teenage striker Kevin Mendez - after a glowing report from his countryman and current Reds hitman Luis Suarez.

Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and the Anfield giants all scouted the forward, who currently on the books of Uruguayan heavyweights Penarol, in last summer's Under-17s World Cup.

Mendez could be available for £3million.

Would be a great signing, if true.
