Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

He isn't going to get a game here anytime soon... maybe in jan for the FA Cup.
Sending on loan would make sense for me.

This is why I hate when fans don't want to see us in the Europa.  Had we qualified, Wisdom, sterling, suso, Llori and quite a few others would get plenty of games here at Liverpool.

No problem with Llori going out loan as we are well stocked in that area but should be to a team in the UK, preferably in the Prem.  I know it may sound strange, but I would have been tempted to send him out on loan as soon as we signed him. Looking at the junk Crystal Palace have in their team, I think he may well had a good chance of playing week in, week  out for them and would have come back to us with invaluable experience. Saying that, I've got high hopes for the lad and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets himself ahead of a couple of or our other CB's in a season or two.

Star online Oct 25th
Liverpool up efforts to beat Arsenal to sign Barcelona star Martin Montoya

LIVERPOOL will press ahead to try and sign Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya.

The Spain under-21 international is one of the most sought-after talents on the planet.

Arsenal are interested in snapping him up while Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Napoli are also pondering a move.

But Liverpool are ready to make their case to lure him to Anfield.

Montoya's contract runs out at the end this season and he's been getting no first-team football under new coach Gerardo Martino

The Liverpool board have a policy to recruit the best young talent and 22-year-old Montoya would fit into their future plans.

The Barcelona star is yet to make a decision on his future but finds the prospect of joining Liverpool appealing, according to sources in Spain.

Anyone seen this fella ?

I watched him in the U21s for Spain and once or twice for Barce last season.  He looks a tidy player to me going forward but not seen much of him defensively, so I'm not sure.  You've got to wonder why Barce are seemingly willing to let him move on with Alves now around the 30 mark.

Hmmm, does seem strange Barca aren't tying him down especially if this is true

Probably just more media "hype"

Iturbe would be nice. Coutinho-like player.

Ayew is a fast player but nothing more. He currently plays where he belongs IMO.

Haven't heard of Sergi Roberto but that's a lot of money if it's true.

Is this not the rumour mill?

This Paul Pogba from Juventus seems very good... long-range shots are Gerrard-esque. another player released by Fergie... if he managed to keep Pogba, they wouldn't need to buy Fellaini...

Pogba is definitely the kind of player that we need to be looking for. But I doubt we could get the man himself. He is already a regular at Juventus and the only place I could see him go to is somewhere like Real Madrid, PSG or City. We should be trying to find someone similar though.

Depends.

If (and it's a big if) we're still in the top 2 in January, I think we will look a lot more attractive than we did in the summer. I really think BR will push for funds to bring in 1 or 2 big signings in January and our league placing in that time will have a big impact on who we get.
