Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Thing is, Kewell, Pogba already is in a very good club. I think that even teams like Bayern, Man Utd, Arsenal, Dortmund etc. will find it hard to sign him unless they can offer a lot of money, like teams like PSG can. I think that we won't be able to sign him, regardless of where we are on the table in January.

There's no denying the money issue - our board won't bow to the whims of players' or their agents - which leaves us vulnerable to the likes of Chelsea and Spurs, who will offer lots more. However, BR has shown that our wage structure is broad enough to attract good, young players, with the promise of more cash if they settle in and prove themselves.

Twitter is going into meltdown at the moment, with links to us and El Shaarawy. Will it happen?  No idea, but it would be a huge step forward if true.

El Sharawy will be a good purchase and a realistic one too because Milan are going through a bad period and "the Faraon", as they call him, isn't even getting any game time!

But Pogba was an excellent shout and would have been my number one target if I were playing footy manager :D. Exactly the kind of player we need. But it's never going to happen unfortunately.

But at what price? I really don't see any value in the English market, when there are players who are equally good from other places at half the price.

I realise an English player is already used to the league, and that is worth money, especially as we want them to hit the ground running, but even with the likes of Hendo and Downing there was a lot of talk about them needing time to get used to the expectations of a big club...

I simply don't think we should limit ourselves to just England. The quality of players we need to improve our first team aren't likely to be found in too many teams around Europe, let alone England...

Without big money and European football we have to scout even smarter and widen the network not look to narrow it to English only surely.

Room for improvement in the scouting too as Aspas has not been up to much but Sakho and Couthino very good.

All clubs win some lose some and its really hard at Liverpool where the money is not around to buy the very best but the expectation is still
extremely high on anyone we bring in.

Henderson has comfortably been our best midfielder the last 2 years.

Leroy Fer of Norwich looks a good player and only 23 I also like the look of Adam lalana

In your opinion  mate. Henderson has come on in the last twelve months but lets not get carried away. You seriously think he has been better than Gerrard over the last two years? I really do need to go to fkg Specsavers and make an appointment for you
