Hi Guys,
I feel better transfer targets for this summer are 1 good striker (who can play and main when Torres is not playing, and can be played with torres also), 1 attackaing midfielder and One holding midfielder (is Alonso leaves) and one genuine defender (as Happia goes).
My choices to target are,
1)Striker : David Vila or Iquinta or Zaltan Ibrahimivic (bargain >we may get) or D Forlan,or may be the least S Muntari
2)Att Midfielder: Shunsuke Nakamura (it will be a very good cheep buy , but quality palyer, he is getting bored at Celtic) or Sturt Downing
3)hold midfield: Barry
4)Defender: Chiellini or Stevn Taylor (in case Newcastle goes down) and Johnson

We can get away with Happia, Doessana and other on loan guys like Pennet.
How you guys feel about this tagets.

He is rubbish! Would give us nothing that we don't already get from Riera.

Anyway...he has remodelled himself as a LB. No wonder N'castle are struggling with defending :Oo:

Villa and Barry - YES please

But...

Nakamura - offers nothing apart from set pieces
Ibrahimovic - don't rate him, too similar in style to Torres but half as good
Downing - hopefully his injury has put an end to any rumour of an LFC interest
Taylor - Maybe if/when the toon go doon but I would look at Wheater and Hengeland first before him.

Mate, I have to declare I'd like to see us take a punt on Duff, provided he's cheap enough.
Just reading an article in one of the papers here about Duff. He hasn't "remodeled" himself as a LB, more the case that he's HAD to play there 'cos everybody is on the injury table at Newcastle. As a result, you don't get to see him do the kind of things he did at Blackburn. And the way Maureeno set his stall out at Chavski, both Duff and Robben were sacrificed to play a different formation.
All of that said, he's 30 now, not an old man, but surely we could offer a few quid for him. Though I wouldn't lose too much sleep if got a younger player....

I can't believe that we're actually trying to get Lavezzi. The guy must be the most overrated footballer in Italy. Benayoun is better than him.

He's an Argentinian forward that plays for Napoli. This guy is highly rated in Italy, but every time I've seen him play he looked pretty average. He has good pace and he's a good dribbler and that's about it. Zarate would be a much better option.

There's alot of players who's names are better
than their ability to play football.
