Would be a fantastic get for us

He may be over-paid but if it means a needed goal in crunch time next year, it is well worth it

Sign: Tevez, Rafinha and Barry.
Flog off: Babel, Dossena and Lucas.

I think that's realistically inside our budget and the squad would be well balanced and have a really good shot at the title IMO.

We should also sell off a dozen of our squad players in the reserves and on loan. 67 players in the squad is rediculous.

We gotta try and get him cheap tho, dont think united will let him go for nothing tho.
probly about 20-25mil if we r lucky
so we got to get rid of Babel, Dossena, Itandje, Voronin
and probly a few other fringe players 67 is rediculous.

MH, sorry I never replied to your PM, it disappeared so I'll just post it here.

To be honest, I normally wouldn't consider this move even be remotely possible.  But given the situations and times that were in, I'd say its a definite possibility  :wwww  :wwww

I would take tevez in a heart beat , brilliant player  , proven talent and can lead the line with torres is absent , i think however he will play in the stevie role if he comes and gerrard will play on the left or the right , we should not break up the xabi and masch partnership

More Silva talk....

18/05/2009

Silva would choose Liverpool over Juventus

We are still getting quite a few emails and comments from Liverpool fans asking if David Silva is on his way to Anfield…

I have to say that very little has changed since we last dealt with it here. Since then, the market has been moving very slowly in terms of actual offers being made for the player. However, Silva`s representatives are expecting any interested clubs to make their move at the end of the summer.

Valencia are willing – they have to – sell the player and will want things sorted quickly, so they will probably be happy to do business with the first club to put an acceptable offer on the table. At this moment in time, neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid have made a move for Silva – and if it ends up as a straight fight between Juventus or Liverpool, the player would prefer a move to Anfield.

That does not mean David Silva is definitely on his way to Liverpool, but it does mean that there has perhaps never been a better time to try and secure the services of one of the most talented attacking midfielders in Europe. However, Rafa Benitez is going to have to play his cards cleverly as, following the initial contact, Valencia have been told that before Liverpool make a second approach, Benitez will have to offload a couple of players first.

I´m not convinced, I´m not convinced. This lad is being built up to be the messiah and when that happens it usually ends in tears.
