I'd say these 3 lads form part of Rafa´s 14,000 player video library and have as much chance playing for Liverpool as I have.

Suarez and Dzeko are both quality players would really like them as signings. Don't know much about berg.  Suarez is a lot like Babel, in fact he replaced Babel at Ajax, only hopefully he would be better.  I still think that if Babel could do all the things that he should be able to do, that kind of player would fit really well into the team

This could be bull, but it would be amazing if we actually signed this guy.  Russia's best attacking player after Arshavin in my opinion.

Liverpool To Beat Chelsea To Signing Of CSKA Moscow's Yuri Zhirkov – Report

The Reds could be poised to bid €16.7 million for the left-sided Russia international wing-back...

Liverpool could pip Premier League rivals Chelsea to the signing of CSKA Moscow's Yuri Zhirkov at the end of the season, according to a report in the local newspaper The Daily Post.

The Blues were expected to land the 30-time capped Russian international this summer as they have been long-term admirers of the player and have a strong Russian connection.

However, it is thought that Reds boss Rafael Benitez has identified the 25-year-old, who is affectionately known as 'the Russian Ronaldinho', as the man to solve his left-sided problems.

The Spaniard is expected to sell Italian international left-back Andrea Dossena, who has failed to convince since arriving at Anfield from Udinese for €7.8 million (£7m) last year.

Zhirkov's versatility may well have appealed to Benitez - he is able to play as a left-back or a left-winger – and the former Valencia head coach is ready to shell out the €16.7m (£15m) it is thought he will cost.

"Zhirkov is a player of such high level, he would only show all his potential playing in such a strong competition as the English Premier League," Brazilian legend Zico, who is manager of CSKA Moscow, is quoted as saying.

I'll say it again, we need 5 English players. We have 2 with Darby and Spearing the only players other than Gerrard or Carra we have that are decent. We need Barry and Downing atleast.

well they are different sorts of players. Could never see Silva playing left back. I think it would just be a huge upgrade on Dossena.

I don't see why we are going after another left sided player. Does this mean Rafa is going to get rid of Dossena AND Aurelio in the Summer? And then what Riera plays 2nd string? Thats a lot of money and tbh I thought id would be better spent elsewhere.

Yeppp, we should invest on right sided players. Anybody here fancy Joaquin?

muzza has a good point, we need at least 5 good English players in our team, not necessarily Downing and Barry though. We can also go for Glenn Johnson and Lennon.

And aCe has a good point too. We need players like Robben who can run at defenders with the ball.

Silva is definatley out but Joaquin would be a great signing imo. Under Rafa I think he can find the form that made him one of the most sought after players in Europe.

Point is, we can do with 1 top class winger who can play in both wings rather than 2 separate wingers for both sides. We already have Kuyt, Reira, Benny and Babel. From those 4, Kuyt, Reira and Benny will definitely be there next season so we don't need 2 more. For this reason I prefer Robben and Silva over Joaquin who can only play in right wing.

I pray we dont sign anymore Spanish players. We are getting to the point where we'll become a laughing stock for having 5-6+ Spanish players in our team.

I would sign:

Glen Johnson - £10,000,000

I have a Pompey season ticket and see him every home game and i can say he is the best offensive full back in England and he has scored some good goals and set up alot. Would be so much better than Arbeloa

Aaron Lennon - £16,000,000

He is great on the ball technically and can beat his man over and over again in some games. He has pace and despite what some people think he has incredible delivery and around the box can always find a killer ball. His pace would also come in handy for defencive track backing.

Yuri zhirkov - £14,000,000

The guy has physical attributes like stregnth and power that are vital in premier league games. He has speed to burn and can get down the wing like Ronaldo on steroids. He has an end product from what ive seen and his ability to play left back and left mid would prove invalueble.

Barry - £9,000,000

We all know his ability. He has great vision, stegnth and can defend. He also has the addition of being able to play anywhere in midfield or defence.

To sell:

Babel - £11,000,000

Voronin £4,000,000

Dossena - £5,000,000

Lucas (God i hate him) - £4,000,000

Total Spent = £24,000,000 :D

Increase in quality = 1,000,000%
