But the thing is to be noted here is that he is not playing in big team.
Example:(Henry)when a player like veira, robert pires, lunberg and berkamp was palying with him he was scoring more than 20 goals per season but when all these player are not there he doesn't able to score that amount of goal ,it is other thing that most of the season he remained injured but when he was playing he is not like the previous great henry.
so if torres will come to liverpool (better player behind him) then he will score more goal
liverpool till death

Henry's scored goals without some of those players behind him, he is a great striker, Torres is not in the same league as Henry.

Playing in a bigger team may help Torres develop and he may score more goals because of it, but Henry - he's just lightyears ahead right now.

After the Spanish season has finished then Torres will be put up for sale. Atletico will obviously want a bidding war but if we tried to sign him he would rather sign for us then any other team.

He recently wore YNWA on his armband and is very good mates with Luis Garcia. Ballague recently interviewed and it was obvious of his desire to play for Liverpool.

His goalscoring record is alright as well and didnt someone say its on par with David Villa but i personally think Torres would deal with the Premiership better then Villa

Goal record

00/01 - 4 games 1 goal (2nd division)
01/02 - 36 games 6 goals (2nd division)
02/03 - 29 games 13 goals
03/04 - 35 games 19 goals
04/05 - 38 games 16 goals
05/06 - 36 games 13 goals
06/07 - 33 games 14 goals

Obviously he is their main penalty taker but Torres also plays upfront on his own a lot and is not playing in a team brimming with quality.

By main penalty taker you should read, the only penalty taker. As for playing on his own, he plays on his own as any other striker in the liga.

He'd be an overrated mistake. He'd be the class of signing up that would bring "huzzahs!!!" and "Fúcking yes!!!!" only to read a "Oh no". "Garbage. Get rid", in a couple of months. He'd be more dissapointing than Morientes. And more expensive.

I've never forgotten what Sabes said about Nando, I used to read a lot on this place before I joined. Nice to see it again tho :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Interesting thread, I'd forgotten how we weren't sure he was prolific enough, or that he'd make it in the PL. Good call it was.
