Mascherano and Lucas specialise at breaking up play. In games like these, there is no play for them to break up. So why no Aquilani ???  Rafa, one minute i love you the next minute im in limbo with you

We've put out a team of clappers (as my football lads would call them). Carra, Masch, Lucas, Kuyt, Krygiakos, Skrtel all guts and effort, great in the tackle but that's all.

Not a great first half by any means!Very predictable football from us,our movement off the ball has been zero.Quick passing attempts 5 or 6 in a row dont work against a team with 10 men behind the ball.We need someone to run at them,we need to unsettle them and stop making it so easy for them, they are just sitting there knowing soon a pass will go astray...the long ball is a no goer either.
We need top spread out a bit, youd think that whole half was played on a 10p piece!

Not good enough but we will win! :)

We can’t build any good moves because all of our defenders are very poor on the ball. First touches and technique are poor and they panic and hoof the ball anytime an opposition player comes close. We miss Arbeloa and Aurelio who are both comfortable at giving and receiving the ball.

they aren't playing 10 men behind the ball, we are just sh!te, everytime we get the ball we hoof it, we can't keep possession and our final third is :censored:

how are we looking, I missed the first half because I went to the pub but they chose to show bloody Spurs Fulham instead of the far superior :-) Reds Wolves match.

we seem to be unable to rise above weaker teams and they drag us down to there level.
hopefully a few changes early on will open up a couple of chances for us

It's a good question. I don't think Rafa trusts him in (what he assumes will be) a physical game.

trouble is mike, i can see them scrapin a 1-0 as well. They seem to be very good at getting round the back of carra, and i'll bet they'll try that more in the 2nd half, then all it takes is for one of 'em to get infront of skrtel, and its 1-0.
