Thought he was excellent last night even though I don't think he's suited to playing upfront on his own. Some of his hold up play was really good.

He's improved but IMHO is a mile away from being good enough. What's more I don't think he will ever get there.

He has improved granted, but for me a sign of a good player at whatever age is a good first touch and that he patently lacks!

Well his performances and goal record show that he is being good enough presently - what more can the young lad do - he is a striker and their job is to score goals and at 1.5 mil he is scoring at a better rate than a fair number of people that cost a damn sight more than him .

He is ok.. as a goal poacher, but other than that he can be really frustrating as he isn't that good in the final third. He usually picks up the ball and doesn't look for a pass, but rather try to beat his man. He doesn't hold the ball well as other strikers does. However, he does have really good pace and can get in goal scoring position. I don't think he will be a top player, decent maybe, a good squad player to have when you need a goal.

Ngog -

Prem 4 starts 6 subs and 4 goals

Carling Cup 2 starts 1 goal

Champions League 2 starts 1 sub 1 goal

That is not bad at all for a young striker .

He's done better than I expected, but I didn't expect much to begin with and don't expect him to have a long-term future at the club. At best he is cult hero material.

Agreed, he doesn't look like a classy player to me. Sure he is scoring goals now, but what happens when his goals drie up? I think he is that type of player.

Leeds, Debrecen, Wigan, Brum, Stoke and a late 1-on-1 against the mancs - he could be the next Peter Crouch

Even last season it was one in a 4-1 vs Blackburn, one against a Sunderland that was weaker than it is this season, one vs PSV.

But as mentioned, for £1.5m you don't expect a Torres. He's doing well for a £1.5m striker, should make a profit if we sell - but you might expect that when a big club signs a player on the cheap, cheap enough that small clubs can afford to pay a profit-making fee ie Stoke, Hull, Burnley etc could afford £3m+ . We come unstuck when we buy players like Babel and the only clubs interested would have to buy at a loss and likely a wage drop, neither likely to be ideal to club or player
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Shock! Horror! Mick does not rate another of our players.

Riena         Good enough
Agger        Not good enough
Skirtle        Ball watcher
JC             On the tail end
Johnson     Overpriced
Insua        Not good enough and never will be
Aurellio      You like him but injuries make him not good enough
Kuyte        Not good enough and never will be
Macsh       One trick pony (50% of worst midfield pairing in prem)
Lucas        Not good enough and never will be( the other 50%)
Aquillani    Overpriced
Yossi        Not good enough and never will be
Riera         You did like him but not sure now
Gerrard      Good enough "a doom and gloomer" like you
Torres        :hearts
N'gog         Not good enough and never will be

Rafa        Not good enough and never will be

Clearly you see more wrong than right, right?

Almost forgot, Keane now he was good enough but could not score because of Rafa

Well.. My opinion on Ngog hasnt changed since preseason... He seemed to have the ability and was always going to improve with experience and confidence... If we had better options on the bench i would have loaned him out for 6 months to any other premierleague side just to see how much he develops if played regularly at such a high level... I think hes got a good future, dont think he'll turn out to be a world beater but potentially a very good player in the making.... Has technical ability and a good footballing brain.. Uses the channels well and knows when to come deep to bring other into play, perhaps needs a little more physicality to his game but he'll get that with time... I'd give him time and see how he turns out... For now, he should be 3rd choice assuming we only play 1 striker.. Only problem is that we dont seem to have a 2nd choice thats any good...
