Fowler_E7 wrote:dont care what anyone says N'gog is never ever gonna make it at Liverpool. He simply dosnt have enough to make it as a striker at this level. He's big, but not strong enough to hold the ball up against the big defenders. He's tall, but a joke in the air. He has decent pace but is hardly lightning, his shootings ok and so on. He's average to decent at most things but dosnt have any outstanding attributes, to make it at the top who have to very good at something and N'gog isnt. Im no fan of Ryan Babel, but if he cant in the team ahead of the likes of N'gog and Degen he has a right to feel insulted.

Disagree with that mate. He's young, willing, a grafter, learning.....and only the "young" bit applies to Babel. I think he'll do well if he stays. I wonder what it would be like in a couple of years with Torres AND Eggnog up front...

One funny anecdote from last night's match. I was watching it on a stream from Maged.tv or something like that. The guy hosting the show was English, didn't catch his name, but his face looks familiar. I think a wannabe MOTD presenter from some muck cable channel. Anyway, he starts talking about Eggnog...saying "There seems to be some confusion about how to pronounce his name...Is it Engoh, or Engawg.".....Ehhh, hello ? Anybody home ?
There's no bleedin' confusion about how to pronounce it ya meff. He's had it all his life !  :D

FFS He is how old 19/20? He may not be a Messi but he is trying and bagging a goal now and again. Give him time.

maybe not, but he'll probably develop into a handy squad player or 2nd striker.

N'gog is just another of Rafa's blinkered gambles......the lad just is not good enough, and will never be good enough.....either sell him on, or loan him out....and bring in a quality striker who can finish. :nod

I think the main reason some people have a problem with Ngog is because Rafa seems to be ignoring the youth system. Personally I like him, hes a good squad player, but I also think we could have got the same out of sme of our reserves/youth.

To be fair though we don't see them day in day out at training though do we and we can't just play 2 or 3 of them at once.

Who was it that once said you don't win anything with kids?

Henry was written off as useless by Inter at 23 and didn't perform in PL until gone 25 so the give him time arguement stacks up well if you consider somebody whose now defined as 1 off if not the best stricker of the PL era!!!!

Gamble? 1.5 million?

I'd say he's worth double that now.
