yeah some mate but the more lucas plays this season the more confident he becomes and the more he can express himself - watching him this season and while not up to the standards of xabi he hasnt been that poor and certainly not the reason why we havent started so well and in a number of games has been one of the better players

Or maybe he will never become a good player, in which case years of playing him, weakening our midfield would have been pointless.

Either way it is very risky to hold out on him just hoping that one day he will become a good player.

he will never be any different than he is  now.......and thats below average/to average.....its time some fans stopped believing in the "wish fairy"...and opened their eyes, and stopped deluding themselves that the Likes of Lucas etc, will ever be any better because it's not going to happen guys!. :no

Lucas won't get a look in once Aqualini is fit (as long as he stays fit).

Something tells me he won't like being a bench warmer for long, especially with the WC coming up next year.

Er...me thinks your the one with the 9yr olds crystal ball...with silly comments like that?......just stop deluding yourself will you.....and admit what the majority of LFC fans...(the ones not wearing rose tinted spectacles...like you) all know...and that is Lucas and co are not good enough, no matter how many chances they get they will never make that step up from average "could do better" school report.

Of course he'll get games, he just won't get the same playing time as he is enjoying now.

Will he be happy about that, probably not but then again he isn't a quality player who you can't afford to drop.

no one is saying he is off the quality that means he cant be dropped and must play but he has ablely stepped up and filled in when needed and is doing so at the moment .

but he is a below average player whom we dont need in our team....should someone slightly above average come along then he will be benched...and hopefully sold. :nod

Actually, Kuyt work rate and defensively were both above average. He also scored some very crucial goals for us. I always thought he was always very good. I stuck with Kuyt ever since he joined LFC. I bought the yellow jersey with his name on it before he played his first game for us. Kuyt was different as he was a top scorer in the dutch league. And the only thing he didn't do enough when he first joined was scoring. But as for Lucas, please tell me what is his attribute?? All his attribute is below average and I had asked this question many times but never really did get any answer from anyone. I also asked would you be willing to jeopardize this season just to prove a point that Lucas is Sh.lt? I don't think so. Currently, we should play Gerrard in the middle until Aquilani return and put our best team on the field. With Lucas in our starting 11, it will definitely not our best team.

He was our top scorer in the league in his first season, it was his second season that his scoring hit a barren spell. And in 06/07 we had four strikers sharing two berths not including Luis Garcia

PREMIERSHIP 06/07

Kuyt 12 goals in 34 apps
Bellamy 7 goals in 27 apps
Crouch 9 goals in 32 apps
Fowler 3 goals in 16 apps (mostly a sub)

And if you count back to when he "first joined", he scored five in his first nine appearances, or five in just six if you go from his first goal (fourth appearance in)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Wow! No one is moaning about Lucas today!!!
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.
