I really hope this is sarcasm!

Lucas gives the ball away as if its a hot potato,he also commits silly fouls and scores for the other team.
I want nothing more than the lad to do well, but ffs we cant condone his actions on the pitch.

A bad player does feck all for the team...Lucas does feck all and also helps our opponents,I really feel for the guy..he is out of his depth.

Have a look here so you actually learn the facts about Lucas giving the ball away (or not as the truth actually is):

HERETIC!!

do not bring statistics and objective information onto a football discussion website... Image

Now I know that you will no doubt be one of the "how can a Plummer [sic], cocktail barman, Dildo seller possibly know more about football than the manager?" school of thought, and that's fine :).

If Rafa genuinely thinks Lucas was our "key" player against Burnley, he is clueless (he does't and isn't of course). If you believe that either Rafa truly believes that, or even if you truly believe that yourself, well we'll just have to agree to differ I'm afraid :D .

Sure, Rafa does not believe what he said! What a joke!!! He is cluless in suggesting Lucas was key. Why? Cus a certain Bigmick said so!!!!

I can understand offering a different view, but to now offer insights into the intent of the mangers words, clear as they are is deliving into Ms. Cleo's territory...

Another top post that one. I guess that's the "handbags at five paces" smiley which I don't think really fits when a poster under a new name but not new personality reverts to type. I guess the odd interjection from someone who has nothing to offer to the discussion smiley must be out of commission right now.

Leaving all that aside, it is becoming increasingly difficult even trying to get a sensible discussion about football going on here it really is. Lucas is the epitome of all things silly. Almost every poster who has a clue avoids the subject like the plague, preferring to refer to it only in asides and nudge nudge wink wink double talk.

Why? Because the minute his name is mentioned the boards are overrun by people banging drums. I think I should do the same, I'm completely wasting my time here.

Just to re-iterate so everyone is clear. I accept that Lucas was the "key" player for us against Burnley, and him playing like he did "allowed" Gerrard to go on and influence the game in the manner he did. You can "talk about Yossi but it's thanks to Lucas".

I think he's the best holding midfielder since Lothar Mathieus. There, I hope I've cleared all that up. Think I'll go and play some Poker, good luck all.

I agree with Barry an Redhayesey hes out of his dept. i feel sorry for the lad i hate to see any player stuggle like he has done in the past, an as others have said i do hope he comes good for the lads own sake as well as ours, Saturday he done ok. nothing spectacular but nothing suicidal , His tackling still needs to be sorted though , still abit mad, Not Javier mad , just he never seems to time it right, Some have said Speo well maybe it is time to give him ago, i said months ago on here that i didnt think Speo would make the grade an by that i meant turn out regular , Ive watched him alot last season an i take back what i said, hes ready, Any player who pulls on the red shirt i want to see do well Lucas is in that catorgory, i hope Lucas puts us all with egg on our face i really do

cheer up you

If I called you up on every one of your attempts at a humorous post that fell flat on it's face then I'd have easily doubled my current paltry post-count...

as for getting a decent discussion going about lucas... several posters have suggested lucas is out of his depth, loses the ball etc , others have disagreed putting forward eveidence of games where he's played well, or objective statistics... sounds pretty much like a football debate to me   :idea

strangely enough the debate often seems to degenerate in reponse to your posts , BM    :lookaround  pure coincidence,  i'm sure

Proof most people on here just dont know what thier talking about

nice one bammo

lol i actually had a dicussion in work with one of these "get Rafa out play more local lads" supporters & you could clearly tell he was just another racist the way in which he spat out the word foreigner over & over made me laugh. He questioned my knowledge on football so i quizzed him about our under 18s & reserves & his face was like a bunny in the headlights lol everytime i threw up a name he was klike "ohhh yeh yeh i know him" he didnt have a :censored: clue who i was talking about i ended p making up names & he still said the same haha
Didnt have a :censored: clue about world football. Said rafa should get the boot coz he aint won anything in afew years but then suggested we should have the likes of darby & spearing in the time :D yeh coz then wed walk the league. Then said hed have Mourinho as manager & when i said hes had it easy walking into teams with money he actually talked about inter like they were a :censored: team before he joined & hed hardly spent any money hahaha

oh happy days
