Funnily enough I wouldn't take Van Horseface. I kind of know of someone (you know the thing, taxi drivers best mate told a bloke who knows my best mate) who has convinced me that the particular type of injury Van Horseface has (feck knows before you ask although he did tell me) won't ever heal properly, and he'll be restricted to only a few games per season.

I would have taken Owen, but not Van Horseface.

Joe Cole & Tuncay are better options to have than Ngog & Voro.

Joe cole's just signed a new contract but he would have been excellent here

45 goals in 60 games for real is tremendous record even at his age

I admit I look with envy on the money that Citeh are splashing around. If we had that sort of money I don't think too many would be complaining if we signed Villa, Silva and Aguero. Hopefully we can scrape together the necessary funds to buy the one or two players who will make the difference this season and not spend our time regretting we didn't have sufficient funds to buy the World class players we would all like but are unlikely to get.

As long as Man City have Hughes as manager they don't really pose a threat, it is bewildering why they have not appointed a better manager, it must point to that fact that the owners know bugger all about football. I also agree that it is weird how many strikers they are signing.

But I am not jealous of them, why should I be, we are a much better team and far better club.  :buttrock  :buttrock

Adebuyout aint all that
tevez not prolific
the otehr 8... nowhere near what the 'top4' have

st mike of spongebbob is right about Bellamy.
I'm not jealous at all. Now if they spend the same at the back then it might get a bit squishy bum time but until then let them spend all they want

Chelsea had Mourinho Nan, lets face it, that right there is the difference. Hughes is prooving that having sh!t loads of money isn't all there is to it. Mourinho arrived in the Summer and won the Premiership in his very first season with a record points total. Thats the difference, and if they get him in the future he'll very likely do it for them as well.

See thats one thing i dont agree with Mick. Dont forget Ranieri had just brought in a few good players when he was sacked, i thought he was an exellent manager an all, So he never got the benefit of being manager to the players hed just signed,
