Well hopefully he's been working on his technical ability, and beefing up a bit while he's at it. Couple of pints of Guiness down his gregory wouldn't go amiss I wouldn't have thought.

I quite like that "forum oracle", that was one of Lando's better efforts and I see you taken it on board. I think Lando said it was "self proclaimed" as well which was interesting.

Anyway, rather than constantly trying to have arguments with people who think Pachecho could do with beefing up, you should chill out a bit. That's the oracle advising you that so you should listen

Ah yes lets ignore the little "techincal Ability " remark which seems to be your new bone - Joins others like "Rotation" "Others in Polls" "Kuyts First Touch" which will no doubt get a mention every now and then .

I see the kuyt first touch crept into a post about Silva yesterday ?!

In between Landos various expletives that he seems to explode onto the board with he does come out with a few gems . Forum Oracle seems pretty spot on to me

As I said I quite like it too mate. If you wish to refer to me as the forum oracle, then that's your perogative. I'm flattered by the acolade even though I'm not sure it's deserved  :buttrock

As for "technical ability", "rotation", "Kuyts first touch" and the like, I just put them in to make sure you're still reading 'em

That's the thing about Kuyts first touch as well, you never know where it's going to crop up

Mind you, neither does he so there's no shame in that.

Everyone says we can't play with 2 up top as would mean having to go back to 4-4-2. I disagree we could buy a top striker and play with only 1 holding midfeilder instead of both Masch & Xabi (would explain also if we were in fact to let 1 of them leave).

I'd be more than happy with

                     PEPE
Johnson    Carra     Agger      Insua

                     Xabi

Kuyt               Stevie           Riera/Yossi/Babbel

            Torres       Villa (if only)

That would suit me down to the ground as stevie can keep his current position but drop back a little to help out when we don't have the ball (which he still does most of the time anyway)

Just a thought
Shankly on boardroom meetings - 'At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.'

I reckon I've just had the best brainwave of this whole transfer speculation saga....

Now we got Johnson for 17M, if Chavski were willing to pay 21M for him, why not simply sell him on to them today and pocket 4M profit....invest it in a decent player instead !!

Rodders - this time next year, we'll be millionaires :D  :D

I can see Masch or Alonso going to Spain, and us signing Eto'o (or even better Villa) and playing two up top with Stevie dropping back into midfield.

I can't see us affording Villa without the sale of Masch/Alonso, and it fixes the formation issue at the same time.

Villa.....Well, I can dream......  :D

Not that I want either of them to leave, but I think that is the reality of our financial situation.

If either of them leaves and is replaced by a world class player then its far from the end of the world as far as im concerned...
Say we lose Alonso but end up signing Robben instead... or we lose Mascherano and end up signing Etoo ....
What worries me though is that theres always the possibility that we sell either of them and then Rafa goes out and spends another 18mill bringing in Leighton Baines (cue someone coming out saying hes POSSIBLY the best leftback in the league + hes English + its a problematic position in our side....etc etc) ...

For now im hoping they both stay, with us adding a top attacking player to what we already have... seems unlikely though with both player seemingly wanting to leave...

According to Spanish radio Liverpool have managed to find the funds to make a massive bid for David Villa of Valencia.

It has seemed to be a certainty that Villa would stay in Spain but the reporter on Valencia radio stated that David Villa’s head may have been turned by Fernando Torres and that while he still wants to stay in Spain the one club he would join outside Spain is Liverpool.

Liverpool’s finances have improved it appears and they are ready to test Valencia and David Villa with a very big offer, they are very serious by all accounts and feel confident that they stand a good chance of getting him.

In Marca today the battle lines are being drawn by Barcelona and Real Madrid and with Liverpool now entering the battle it is now purely down to the player and with Torres in Villa’s ear it may not be so far fetched that David Villa indeed becomes a Liverpool player.

fantasy land stuff.....probably  :D

Or that guy who was talking rumors on ICN could be right after all.  :D

Wishful thinking probably.
