Nobody's asking him to play as a defensive midfielder , he can play as a central midfielder , attacking mid and on the right as well . He's a good player and has featured in the middle a couple of times for madrid , playing in that role however if he ever comes here , he has to be more disciplined and change him gameplay like xabi has done .

Sold Arbeloa for 8 Million or so , Leto , Dossena and that would give us a estimated 16 to 17 million plus perhaps another 10 of the kitty we have left which is 27 million , enough for both Silva and Saviola. So In conclusion we would have signed Silva and Saviola for perhaps 25 to 30 million ?

to be honest mate, i like your idea but still say it would be a massive mistake to leave Yossi on the bench,as Imho he is overlooked to much for me. yes it would be an even bigger mistake to sell either masha or alonso, but where we need to strengthen the sqaud now is one more signing in attack & not in midfield.

yossi is a very creative player who needs more first team starts for me & his form towards the back end of the season was second to none, & would be silly for anyone to overlook that.

Silva is a superb player & who wouldn't want him in thie team,but if this thread is about realism as much as optasism then we all know deep down that Silva would be a brilliant signing it would use up most if not all the p1ssy money we have to buy just one more player.

so it has to spent on a striker for back up purposes for torres.
& as much as i rate Silva he for me wouldn't be ideal in that respect. it's just a sh1t that funds limit or dictate our desire's etc. at the end of the day what funds do we have to buy anothe striker anyway?
cause if it's at the exspence of the likes of masha,alonso & even yossi then forget it! as for value for money & ability then for me their is no one around who would make a massive difference in the first team etc.
