Kuyt hasn't been perfect as back-up striker, but useless is not a fair description. I don't know why Rafa won't give Babel a go, even just as a change once in a while. I can only guess he wants his pace on the left, give him options on the bench to bring him on there, on the right or down the middle.
I think Benayoun should be considered as a striker option, he clearly knows where the goal is and is as good a goalscorer as anyone after Gerrard and Torres - arguably he could equal Gerrard if he had as much time on the pitch.
I mentioned the dilemma regards our best formation with Torres up front on his own, and signing another striker (Keane) at the time it became an obvious issue. I said we shouldn't just play 4-4-2 because we've got two £20m+ strikers, the problem is keeping a striker happy if they're not playing regularly. Thinking about it Keane was an ungrateful cunt, he was given plenty of starts and time on the pitch, we even foresook our effective formation to accomadate him and stuck with him through his goalless start, yet you'd think he never got more than 10-20 mins on the pitch as sub and was taken off the minute he missed a chance or the minute he scored (the former the more likely scenario) Maybe we're looking to bring in a big name goalscorer when looking for a young talented striker or a striker with pace who's not prolific as a sub role player who can come off the bench and start from time to time (and cover for Torres) Maybe Eto'o would be a perfect partner for Torres, but how would that affect LM, RM and Gerrard? It may solve one problem and cause three or four more - "one problem" being keeping a quality striker happy and making most of him, three or four more starting with who to leave out, the team adapting back to 4-4-2 which may not be the best for others and what to do if Torres or the other quality striker is injured (revert to 4-5-1, play Kuyt up front, ? ? ?)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
