How about Diego from Werder Bremen? We could with a lot more creativity or fail that we have a cheeky punt at Joe Cole?

I rate Joe Cole highly but he is too small, too injury prone and too southern lol

The lad you are thinking of is Bosnian striker, Edin Džeko! There has been several posts about him in this thread, indeed I recommended him a few days ago. Wonderful player, too good to be plying his trade in Germany.the link I cant be arsed.
Goal against Belgium.
He has been linked with Sunderland and Arsenal, I was unaware of interest from United.
I think Joe Cole has been wasted at Chelsea, the lad has always had to play second fiddle when he is most potent attacking player in terms of creativity and bringing players into the game. btw, Diego is also a very small player, as is Kaka and you wouldn't turn them away from the club or would you?
Well Red wrote:haven't read the whole thread admittedly but I haven't seen anyone mention Javier Saviola's name yet. Throw that into the mix for sure - the guy is absolutely world class, as he showed when he tore us apart playing for Deportivo La Coruna, furthermore he wants out at Real because he's not getting ANY games there (How he didn't make it off the bench to play against us at Anfield when they were 2-0 down is beyond me) and they want rid. Snap him up for £6-8million and plough more finances into the wing areas.
