Nunez - Answer to our striking problems?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I just remembered him saying that he prefers to play up front ?

Maybe he could give us another option up front while we have our stikers out ?

What do you guys think ?

havent seen anything fo him yet, and throwing him up front on his debut (i dont think he should even start) could be costly, but one to think about for the future no doubt

He shouldn't start this Sunday or he shouldn't start ever? Care to be more specific

sorry
dont think he should start on sunday.
Liverpool arsenal games are like derbies now, theres a lot of passion and spirit involved.
Nunez has been injured and i dont want to see him thrown in the deep end.
I havent really seen him play much but i trust Benitez enough to know what a good buy is so i would like nunez to get playing, but throwing him into this game from the start is too much too soon. Even a place on the bench will be a lot but he'll love the atmosphere and know what kind of club hes joined

Nunez isn't expected to start on Sunday, he will have to wait two weeks before Benitez gives him a chance. From what I read he played very well last night and almost scored on one occasion which is good to hear. I hope he doesn't get injured anytime soon.

I also read the interview were Nunez said he enjoys playing upfront. But he has always played on the right wing, and from what I’ve heard he will play there for Liverpool, hopefully he will provide some attacking balance down that side. We can expects strong direct running and plenty of crosses, something we haven’t really got. I wouldn’t like him to be thrown in up front, we should play him on the right we he always has played.

But there is no way he will be involved on Sunday, Benitiez has said he won’t be able to play in the first team for another 2 weeks.

Robbie Foy. Also the goalkeeper Paul Harrison had a superb game.

We need to give these young players a chance to prove themselves because you never know who might be the next Stevie G or Michael Owen.

Watched him play for the reserves on the LFC site and he looked really good, very skillful, great vision and had pace, he seemed to be everywhere and was taking people on which was possitive.

He looks a VERY good player

I know it was only one game but the lad impressed me, the thing I liked about him is that he always wanted the ball, looked lively on the ball and always did something possitive and played people in on a number of occasions, we need people to work off the ball and make runs and I'm sure with him on the right and Finnan overlapping we can cause teams problems on the right wing  :)
