Voronin was close but he did score that beauty in France... um.. No he is the worst and Raffa loves him! Why indeed, think penalty against Stoke, sending off against Everton. How can one so patenetly useless be allowed to single handedly sabotarge our season. Id rather see anybody in the team but him. There is nothing in his game that warrants any form of merit, why Raffa please explain to this bemused fan?

Welcome to the forum, in my opinion you are spot on but I think you might get a few a nasty responses from some of our resident rose tinted head in the sand pro-rafalites but don't mind them, they are mostly harmless.

Thanks. Im just getting used to everything (Im a bit of a technophobe). My main reason for joining a forum was to vent the frustration I felt at watching such an abject performance on Weds. Once Gerrard went off there was little to stir the emotions in that team. Take Torres out of the equation (he looks unfit anyway) and there were no match winners in one of the poorest performances Ive seen from a Liverpool team for some time! Liverpool are about great passing football, organisation, great first touches, spreading play, drawing teams out of position, making chances. Not in evidence on Weds.

So basically you have come onto the site to whinge and complain ?

GYBS. you do much similar stuff

but everyone is entitled to an opinion whether one, or all agree or disagree.

tbh, lucas is rubbish and i agree with his view on it

In the interests of the club I think it's right to identify the dross! Thanks Judge. We have some fantastic players but Lucas aint one of them and its not a nursery for potential either. At the top table one wishes for the finest fare, not the canteen menu Lucas offers!

I wouldn't sell him just yet though. I think someone said it would maybe be a good idea for Lucas to go out on loan somewhere to get some experience.

Firstly welcome to the forum loopyliverpool :)

& Agree with you 100% what your saying about Lucas!

Just cause he is from Brazil doesnt mean he should get a regular spot playing for Liverpool when he is clearly not worthy!
Time to loan out or get rid !

I can't believe you have the nerve to call me miserable, you seem intent on starting flame wars whereever you go these days. Seriously grow up and start acting like a mod, you should be setting an example, maybe welcoming a new member to the forum etc.

A few points:

1) You are fuc.king miserable

2) Your moderating tips are going down a treat with the moderating team

3) I am sarcastic - and post sarcasm to take the michael - in the hope it actually lightens the mood of doom and gloom on here (2nd in the league and playing Real MAdrid in two weeks - fu.ck knows what this place would have been like when we where 7th and playing Sion in the Wafer Cup)

4) You are fuc.king miserable

You said miserable twice.

I can tolerate anything apart from poor presentation displays.  Can your next post be a power point display

Well you are:

1) A disgrace as a moderator
2) A joke as a fan, far too blinkered to see any problems.
3) A wind up merchant who goes round accusing others of being WUMS
4) ah yes so therefore you're a hypocrite as well.
5) Generally one of the worst posters on here, contributing very little except crude vulgarities and attacks on people who don't adhere to your narrow minded ideology.

nice that I'm amusing the other mods maybe some of them will have the balls to post aside from you, or did you maybe make that part up?

Cheers Shakey. I thought the Lucas thing was a given but he has some fans here. It's all about opinions, I don't want to make comparisons but, some teams get it right by buying and playing quality players.

red187 wrote:I honestly think you are being harse on the lad, is it the fact that he is Brazilian, would a young English player get as much abuse.

In the last two games has he made mistakes, certainly but once Gerrard went of last night he seemed to be one of the only players willing to take up any slack, his passing was sharp and crisp and his movement off the ball was always trying to make space for the man in posession.

The penalty at Wigan was another bad mistake but yet again he was performing well in that game.

As for saying he hasn't shown any signs of being a good player I think your wrong I have seen enough in the Arsenal game last season and the Newcastle game this year to suggest that if he can settle into the english game and its physicality (which he showed signs of last night, couple of very nasty tackles he was on the receiving end of he just brushed them of) he will prove to be a shrewd buy at 5 million.

I could understanding calling him thick if he was 25yrs but he isn't, football is all about developing the mental side of the game and that takes years to come to terms with.

Again I'll go back to Gerrard, now I'm in no way comparing Lucas with Gerrard but I think i'm right in thinking that Gerrard got sent of in a derby for one of the worst tackles i've seen in the modern game when he was only breaking into the team, in fact didn't he get sent of last year at Anfield or maybe the year before in a derby for a pretty naive tackle.

It happens, we plee for our foreign imports to show some passion when it comes to the derby but when one does he is called thick, give the kid a chance to grow up and become the decent footballer he could be. Its unfortunate that we aren't in the position of United or Arsenal were we can carry young players in our first team but thats not the boys fault

How long shall we give him?

well seeing as he is only 21 then its fair to say you still got to give him a bit more time

How much?
A month?
End of the season?
Five years?
Interesting that Keane only got six months and was transferred because he wasnt scoring goals...

I would say give him till the end of next season and as mick says spend time getting him more focused and concentrating on own position . he does have good traits to his game and has shown this a few times .

The prem is an unforgiving place. You are in the spolight all the time. Lucas has shown he hasnt got the "X" factor and probably never will have. Hes had enough time to show if he has got it. And a few games here and there having "good traits" are not good enough for me. "Spend time getting him more focussed"!? My god the lad is 22 isnt he? How long does he need to get 'focussed?' How old was the kid who scored on wednesday? Was he 'focussed?'

I think people have got mixed up sayin Lucas is brazilian.
I think they meant hes had a brazilian...?
