I was just pointing out the fact you never have anything positive to say. Is that cos there isn't anything positive or cos your a misrable old goat?

He was poor yesterday but both him and Dossena have become totally over the top scapegoats, whether you think they're good enough or not.

Everytime Lucas misplaced a pass the crowd near me were right on his back. On the other hand Mascherano gave the ball equally frequently, (not to mention the ridiculous 25 yard shots) and there was barely a murmur.

I agree with stmichael. The stick he is getting is incredible. His first misplaced pass in the second half was met with so much hostility that it was hard to believe that he was a Liverpool player. In no way was he the worst Liverpool yesterday.

It's ridiculous to believe we draw and lose games because of Dossena and Lucas, two players in a team of XI. You can add Kuyt to that, the heroes can do no wrong but Lucas, Dossena and Kuyt can do no right in some people's eyes.

Balanced viewpoints are Lucas isn't in the same class as Alonso and Gerrard, so cut him some slack. He'll be gone soon enough if he's never going to be good enough, let time find him out. I tried saying before that we shouldn't have signed him, not because he isn't going to be good enough, but because we need players who can do a top job now not someone for X years down the line. The "heroes" in the side should be helping the weaker links, if the rest of the side played near its best then one or two weak players shouldn't make too much difference to the outcome. Plenty of players rated better than Lucas have made costly mistakes

I was brought up to believe you boo the opposition players when they deserve it and noone else. You applaud when any player deserves applause, regardless if they're playing for or against you. And if the opposition play well you applaud that, only dirty cheating divers, foulers and scum like Barton deserve booing.

You don't boo a player for not being good enough, criticise them on forums and in the pub after, but don't boo them. What does it achieve?

just to clear up a few things...

the thread was in reference too the minority of idiots who booed the appearance of Lucas as a sub. I feel he has let himself down on a fair few occassions this season but when someone is struggling for form then he needs support not ridicule before he has entered the field of play.

It was bad enough booing the team off when we drew to go top of the league but booing a player on when we're 2-0 up and coasting is a new low for me.

The whole atmosphere was terrible in fairness last night and the number of idiots we have following our club now is alarming.

Just to clear a few more things up......anyone who thinks Lucas should be on the field of play in the first place.......needs booing!....for gods sake the guy should never have been seen in a red shirt....he wouldn't even get into a decent sunday league team.....are you sure he comes from brazil?.....or should it be Breeze hill!.

wtf? support the lad, don't boo him! You might not agree with his ability and think he aint fit to wear the shirt but while ever he is in the shirt playing for this club people should not boo him. It's not rocket science!

Totally agree.....I'm not saying that he should be booed.......he should never have been put in that position....its Benitez fault for not realising that Lucas cant cut the mustard.He insists on playing him when everyone knows he is a liability, thats another reason why under Benitez we will never win the prem until he accepts that some of his buys have been woeful, and are just not good enough for LFC, its not about quantity....its about quality, and Benitez has had long enough to bring quality in, nstead he has sold what quality we did have.....and we are left with a quantity of players who at best are no more than average.

Liverpool’s Sebastian Leto, on loan with Olympiacos for this season, could be making a hastier return to Anfield after a training ground bust up with his Greek side.

The player was sent on loan after he was refused a work permit to play in the Premier League last summer.

According to reports Leto was angry at being left out of the weekend’s big clash against Greek rivals Panathinaiokos, and in the following training session was given a dressing down by the boss for refusing to train with the rest of the team.

In the ensuing training session the player is said to have started kicking balls wildly, and with one well aimed bit of shooting managed to get the club coach Ernesto Valverde.

The manager of the club issued the following statement:

“During yesterday’s training there was an issue with Sebastian Leto, which for the umpteenth time was a disciplinary offence - forcing me to send him to the dressing room.

“I have informed the administration about this particular incident, and it is now up to them to decide the action needed. As I have said in the past, discipline is a fundamental concern for the calmness of the team.”

Leto has completed more than 30 games for Olympiacos, a stipulation which Liverpool had ordered in his loan contract.
