Canvey Island are looking for some sh'it players to bolster their ranks

Too bad the transfer window is closed. Otherwise, loan him to Man U so Lucas can lose some points for them  :grinning:

Seriously, the problem with Lucas is he continues to make the same mistake. This would probably indicate that he can't change his habit of making stupid foul. How many more penalties or red card he gives away before we pull the plug on him? I think other than his mentality, he is not athletic to play that position as he couldn't recover his position fast enough when other trying to dribble in front of him. Thus, making lots of unnecssary foul since most of the opponents can easily go pass him. As for his passing, I don't even want to get into it as most of you would know already.

I don't mind him playing in the reserve or Carling cup but not on the first team please. I think it is sad that we could only come up with player like Lucas in the whole reserve. Just not enough depth...

He has played well perhaps only twice this whole season. Im sorry but there is absolutley no way anyone can defend this guy, same goes for Babel and Dossena. If Rafa is still here beyond the summer I really hope he wakes up and sells him.

He has only played well when not pressured. Newcastle away, well they were a sham that day and lucas was magnificent.

He will never be a success here. But, he could do well in a slower paced league. Another rafa signing who won't cut it here.

A bit harsh mate. I didn't think he was THAT bad to be honest. He was just Ok in a just Ok performance from the team. He won a few headers which always surprises me even though he does it each time he plays. He gamve it away a few times but then again so did most.

The reality is, we didn't actually play THAT bad I didn't think. We should have got the lead first half but didn't, and could have won it in the the end.

Dossena is a different kettle of fishmonger altogether though, he truly is a mile short of where a Premiership full back needs to be.

I would have preferred to keep Sissoko rather than Lucas given the choice, especially now Sissoko seems to have taken over from Messi as a scorer of wonder goals :D I know everyone said we didn't need Sissoko while we have Masch, but for me Sissoko gave you totally different options than Masch does.(not better just different)

I always said Sissoko was quite unique in the way he played S@int. He was an all round the pitch ball-winner, winning it down by their corner flag, infront of our back four, out on the wing, in their box. Mash is much more of a sitter in the more conventional holding midfielder sense.

I really liked Sissoko, but in truth he wasn't really taking to rotation so well and his form had dipped a bit by the time we sold him. Given he wasn't going to play regualrly, moving him on was probably fair enough. I'm really happy for the fella that he is now proving to everyone what a good player he is though, always struck me as a good lad.

He was poor yesterday but both him and Dossena have become totally over the top scapegoats, whether you think they're good enough or not.

Everytime Lucas misplaced a pass the crowd near me were right on his back. On the other hand Mascherano gave the ball equally frequently, (not to mention the ridiculous 25 yard shots) and there was barely a murmur.

I think Mascherano's play this season has dropped a bit and he didn't play well yesterday but not as bad as Lucas. Lucas is in the league of his own. He was consistently bad and made so many crucial mistake and hard for the fans not noticing. Booing him is recognition. I think it is tough on him as most people would judge him as a normal Brazilian player with flair. But unfortunately, he doesn't have any. Another reason is we had played more games poorly as a team in general than good but most of the time Lucas had outdone all other players to be the worse on the pitch. He is not even worth as a scapegoat. Not sure why Rafa keep sticking with him. I think if given the chance, Plessis wouldn't be half as bad...
