Not explicitly no but thats one opinion if you read between the lines wouldn't you say. Ironically thats what caused him to leave Valencia and look we might have managed to do it again so who knows what the feck will happen.

Im suprised at peoples amazement about how keane is performing badly.

He was garbage at spurs!

offers less than Crouch or Bellamy did.

Owen 5-10 million?

A no brainer

Is it me or are there some classic comments posted tonight that are worthy of signatures? My god, the amount of bile spewed tonight is bordering on ludicrous !

if we can offer tottenham a straight swap with keane going there and bentley coming our way id take it .. sell whatever we can and bring a decent backup forward because the way i see it Rafa doesnt rate Keane one bit and everyone is jumping on the "keane is sht" bandwagon right about now... look at berbatov at manutd... last game he did absolutely sweet fck all for 85 mins or so... then last minute he comes up with the winning goal even when hes playing sht and not getting on the ball enough...

i really dont get it sometimes... alright hes playing like sht we get it... do we have any other strikers to bring on who would do better ? no

would we be have a better chance of turning a draw to a win if we had mascherano or lucas or even benayoun in there trying to get us a goal ? still a no imo...

hes scored some and hes missed some.. he hasnt been good in many games but hes been quality in other games... we all know what hes capable of doing and if its not the case then why the fck did we buy him in the first place ?!

hes our 20million forward, if we cant have some faith in him and give him a good run in the starting lineup where he doesnt hae to look at the fourth official every fckin game at 60 mins then maybe, just maybe we'll see a little more from him !

Keane was absolutely awful tonight lets be honest. Terrible. His confidence is clearly absolutely shot to pieces, he was anonymous and for the first time this season he actually looked glad to come off. Now whether it's his own fault that his confidence has gone, whether it's Rafa's fault or my fault doesn't really matter too much right now, the question is where do we go from here with him?

From his contribution tonight, you could be forgiven for thinking that he is absolutely sh!t, but we know that actually he isn't. That said, from where he is now to getting to a point where he makes a contribution is quite a quantum leap, and it may take time. Time isn't something we are actually in posession of much of at the moment, so what do we do?

Do we just give up and flog him off, probably taking a 8 or 9 million pound hit into the process? Do we persevere and stick with the 4-4-2? Do we continue with the current policy of giving him random games now and then and hope his confidence returns, or do we write this season off as a bad job with him and give it another try next time around?

The problem is which struck me against Everton a couple of times while Torres was displaying his brilliance, even at 80% fit, is what the feck do we do if Torres breaks down again? Clearly Kuyt is no striker (and once again he showed us how true that statement is tonight for the last 20 mins) so who would we play there? Egg Nog?

It's really a tricky one. I'm certain we've handled Keane badly and it's directly contributed to his state of mind, but what we should do with him now, feck knows to be honest.

Glad to say I aint jumping on the bandwagon.  I said from day one £20 mil for Robbie Keane was madness.  While I never thought he would be this poor he is never a £20 mil player.  Keane is best staying at smaller clubs where he can stand out and be a star.  Not good enough for us and that money could of found someone better.

I would admit the manager hasnt exactly shown total faith in him but I think more often than not we shouldnt play 4-4-2 as I like Gerrard behind Torres and that means Keane doesnt play.

Exactly, I'd really rather him play like sht an entire game for like 3 games then play like sht and sub him at 60 for 3 games.  At least he'll have a chance of regaining form.  The latter is the worse of the two and our subs this season have really underperformed.  Last year I remember our subs impacting games more this year they just come on and don't change anything.  This all comes down to Rafa too I'm starting to lose faith in him.

Sack Rafa and make KEane the Manager with Coco as his number two.

I would offer Keane as a swop for Taylor and Owen off Newcastle. Saves Rafa's "face" and if Aggers going, we get a good replacement for him in Taylor. Other than that I think we have to pick a formation and stick with it, whether it be 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2.

We havent, rafa has. When he was subbed you could see something in him just snap. Keane has clearly had enough.

And I dont blame him. Rafa has treated Keane like what you leave in the toilet. Ive always thought keane a good player but never worth £20 million. However that is not in the players hand the fee paid for him but everytime you see him subbed hes not happy. And I dont blame him. Keane was poor last night but who is at fault? Rafa for me. He is treating Keane worse than he treated Cisse. We see the good in rafa, but we should also acknowledge the bad, in the treatment of players representing the club. Keane hasnt had a chance to show himself. And that lies with rafa.
