Just out of interest, what team do you support?

Come on Metalhead - read what I said again - I am not totally blaming him - I am holding him resposble for a passage of play that should not have occurred - and let's face it what I said is nothing like as shocking as the goal scoring opportunity that Keane spurned!

I'm not happy about his glaring misses that day (or on previous occasions) and I've said so in a number of places.  I think Keane should have done much better with the chances created in the first half at Deepdale, including the one where he passed to Riera instead of shooting.

But, that doesn't mean I blame him for getting Alonso injured because that's football.  I've spoken up on this point because I think it's a fairly ridiculous claim to make but it's one that you kept spouting off about as though it were fact, implying that anyone that disagreed was just blinkered.  I sense you're in the process of climbing down from that one and re-establishing yourself on firmer ground by focusing on his missed opportunities that day.  It's a good move but there's no need to try and save face by pretending that the rest of us are happy with Keane's performance on the day.  :;):

we might as well blame Alonso for injuring Fabregas too even though both parties admit it was not intended. or wait...i know! Alonso injured Fab then due to the cycle of fate and karma, got his retribution.

Ok I give in - it's just getting silly now! I'm understandably frustrated with a very expensive player who simply is not doing what we paid £20m for him to do! He shirked his responsibilities against Preston and I find that totally unacceptable. Neither Fabregas or Alonso could be accused of that so I am afraid I haven't got a clue what your on about. Don't mind a bit of flack but come on.................

Aaaaa!! sell him, it doesn't look like he will ever settle into the team, unless Rafa keeps a 4-4-2 from now on, which I doubt, I see Rafa dropping Keane against Wigan and playing 4-5-1 with torres upfront.

How Keane was not Rafas choice of signing and he tried to block it on the last day?
