I think they did Mick, they just lack a cutting edge. It's been one of the problems all season.

We should have played with 2 up when Adebayor got sent off though.

You don´t need two strikers to play in more attacking role.
It´s a shame be so conservative with one more player. I think the players have fear to win. Feckin losers.

You do when the midfield won't follow through into the box and Liverpool's midfield tend not to follow through.

Liverpool playing with a single striker will mean we are always going to lack a potent attack up front.

That being said, I think playing with the single striker against the likes of Arsenal was probably the better move, but when Adebayor got sent off we should have gone 4-4-2 and finished them.

We should have been more agressive, going forward the midfield and the wings with decision, but Alonso, Gerrard, Leiva, Arbeloa, Insua, and Kuyt were too conservative, with fear, playing deep and slowly.
By the way, Babel was horrendous.

Babel is always horendous in a Right Mid position. He's not a right midfielder. He hasn't the control (or the foot) for that area. It's pure folly to keep playing him there.

With Arsenal down to ten men, we should have left Riera on and taken Lucas off and put Babel up front with Keane in a 4-4-2 for more attacking options.

Insua played a good game, kept his position well. I'd have him there over Dossena any day of they week.

Kut had his usual game. Run around, pass back or to the opposition and a couple of decent touches.

Nice blast from the past that. Reminded me even more of the late 80's early 90's. I think it was from when we played against the Villa in a similar combination. Better than that green 'n  black malarkey I thought we'd have been in.

Another two points drops, which it eventually will hunt the clever Benitez way before next may!!!

I do not see what is the point to give this lousy manager new contract, the useless owners should wait to see if he achieve the main trophy by wining the league!!!!!!, which I very much doubt.

Two wasteful point once again.

You can blame on the manager, but it was the players who shi.t in their pants.
They were the guilties being so cowards. They have no "top of league" mentality.
A winner side would have cornered the rival in that situation of numerical advantage of players. Nothing to do with the manager´s tactics. It´s about champion mentality of a big club.

what a terrible result eh?!?

wtf are you babbling about? sure on the surfae a draw against Arsenal away might not be that bad a result but considering the circumstances the least we could do was to show our attacking intent instead we drop our pace, misplace more passes and generally run around doing feck all and not tested their keeper despite having one extra man. Rafa's negativity is starting to get on my nerve tbh

Aye, those three strikers he brought on were negative tactics alright.

you're having a laugh aren't you...taking off your winger who had a decent game and replace him with another winger who can't even control a ball let alone get pass one defender was brilliant tactical move...taking off you goal scorer and put your right a man who played on he right must be progressive then...and put in a striker with 2 mins left shows you really wanted to win the game...then Sherlock for your deep knowledge and insight to the game!  :no

If you don't like good football go suport WBA.

In fact they play nicer football then us atm.

Just stop posting. You should know to call it a day when you're talking balls.

At the end of the day, nobody says how attractive the loser's football was. Football is a direct decedent of the Roman gladiator sport. Winner takes it all. Didn't matter if you looked good during the fight if you are dead at the end of it. Football - ditto!

Babel has bossed Arsenal before.  I didn't think he would have a repeat performance but I didn't know he would be completely useless.
