Disgrace. Part of the sale of Berbatov included a 'gentlemans agreement'  installed allowing the scum to get away (yet again) without any further recrimination from Tottenham regarding approaches made toward the player.

Levy you soft tw@t.  :glare:

With the signing of Robinho I think City have now joined Villa and Portsmouth as the best three teams outside the top four.

Surprised at the signing initially for obvious reasons, but it's more understandable when you consider his demeanour/attitude in that interview he did a day or so ago. Rather than spend a season at odds with the club hierarchy, he probably thought 'feck it'. They had the money and have two quality Brazilian players already (probably his mates), and it was a chance to get out.

City simply got lucky with the circumstances. A last minute silly money offer for a player who desperately wanted to get out of there.

I'm just amazed Chelsea didn't pay the full amount, it was a case of arguing over peanuts for them.

It's worrying from our point of view when we're fecking about with the likes of Riera, and City can come in and buy one of the best attacking players in world football for a British record fee.

From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Would not surprise me one bit if City go tits up and Robinho opts out to Chelsea within the next 3 years.

Worryingly though, the money that City have is real. Their owners are well and truely rich up the wazooo. And Mark Hughes is proving to be a pretty darn good top-tier manager. City may just end up becoming the real deal and serious threat to Arsenal and us, although it may take 12 months for that to happen.

Mark Hughes was always going to be a good manager, he has just never had the team to do the work.

If they had a dodgy manager I would be more inclined to think they'll go t!ts. I don't though, I think Mark Hughes is a top manager who will get the best out of his squad, and that's worrying.

If they have a solid season (top six), and build on it with one or two similarly silly money signings in January or next summer, then I'll be very concerned. That's when we may see them kick on and push us and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Manc's are consolidating their already solid squad with another £30m signing.

Oh joy, I look forward to the "Boardroom Deny Funds" and yet more unsettling BS from those sat there twiddling there thumbs because they have no other story to go with.
