He also goes on to say that the younger option is left footed, and can play both in central midfield and on the wing. Oh and he's not English.
I think we need super Andy G to solve this one (although I am hoping its Van Der Vaart) I think the clue is in the "But you will have to think quite a lot" which rhymes with good shot and as Van der Vaart had a good shot in the Euro's its obviously him.....................Andy........help?

Gareth Barry > 19M or David Silva > 18M
David Silva: Roma £18M Move to Disappoint Liverpool & Arsenal

i've been putting some serious effort into this one, saint, and it's fairly obvious to me that they are talking about laurent robert.

There is not a single quality wide man in the squad, kee- rist Jermaine Pennant is the only player in the 1st team squad that wants to get to the byline. Im not gonna jump on the age old Silva/Quaresma/(insert overrated Latin American Ponce of your choice) bandwagon. But surely even £11-12million would by a great OPTION to the squad, someone who wouldnt necessarily have to start every match but could be, er, rotated (Bigmick put the gun down!) and used as a different option. Mascha, Xabi, Lucas and the Gerrard are more than a match for any central midfield unit in world football. We have the meanest and most heavily tatooed back line in Premier League history, as well as a striker that is quite possibly the best in the world, and Torres is pretty good to! C'MON DIRK LOL! (In fairness I think even the biggest Kuyt critics have to say he was arguably our best player in last years CL campaign)

Another dream signing bites the dust, and with Diego supposedly now going to Chelsea my list of options is getting smaller and smaller.
